Join the Digital Microsoft Storefronts team within the Gaming Marketing and Sales organization as we deepen our understanding of player engagement and monetization performance.

 

The Xbox ecosystem is home to millions of passionate players and thousands of innovative content creators. Our Microsoft Storefronts team plays a key role in connecting players to the games and experiences they love—through curated discovery, smart pricing, and performance-driven tactics.

 

We are looking for a Senior eCommerce Manager to lead our performance analysis and reporting efforts. In this role, you will take ownership of surfacing the insights that explain how we are pacing against targets, why certain promotional strategies succeed, and where we should adjust tactics next. You will also partner closely with the Business Manager and cross-functional leaders to ensure our business reviews translate data into action across teams.

 

You will play a critical role in informing our $1B+ promotional strategy and influencing external commerce partner engagement. By leveraging player data to identify what delivers the most value—and why—you will conduct deep-dive behavioral analyses that power persuasive publisher case studies. These insights will spotlight revenue-driving tactics, strengthen partner trust, and drive sustained engagement growth across our platform.

Responsibilities

Core Responsibilities

  • Publisher Growth Case Development: Engage with the store partner enablement team to create data-driven case studies. Use real-world performance insights to help publishers understand how to better succeed on our platform—whether through pricing, bundling, endpoint optimization, or promotional targeting.

 

  • Team Insight Support & Cross-Functional Alignment: Function as the primary analytics partner for our team—fielding, prioritizing, and fulfilling analysis requests tied to performance, player behavior, and monetization. Ensure insights are delivered with speed, accuracy, and relevance. Serve as our advocate with internal data partners—aligning on KPIs, methodologies, and tooling needs to ensure we have the right infrastructure and support.

 

  • Technical Toolset Mastery & Data Infrastructure Partnership: Demonstrate fluency in modern data analytics tools and platforms (e.g., Power BI, Excel, Python, SQL). Select and apply the right tools for the job, whether for ad hoc analysis, dashboard development, or large-scale data modeling. Work with data infrastructure teams to maintain robust and scalable data pipelines that meet business requirements. Champion best practices in data hygiene, automation, and reproducibility.

 

  • Player Behavior & Trend Discovery: Conduct deep analyses of player actions across store portfolio segments and monetization models. Identify emerging behavioral trends that can inform store promotional tactics.

 

  • Insight-Driven Recommendations: Use performance data to proactively identify areas of opportunity and risk. Deliver crisp, actionable recommendations that help the business optimize promotions, pricing, and merchandising in a way that drives revenue and player value.

 

  • Rhythm of Business (RoB) Enablement: Partner closely with the Business Manager to support the full RoB cadence. Drive the development of data-backed insights that clarify how the business is pacing against weekly, monthly, and annual targets. Ensure that executive reviews clearly articulate what is working, what is not, and why, enabling strategic action across the team.

 

 

Qualifications

 

Required / Minimum Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Social Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 3+ years experience in retail, ecommerce, data science, research, marketing or business-related roles OR Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Social Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 4+ years experience in retail, ecommerce, data science, research, marketing or business-related roles OR 5+ years experience in retail, ecommerce, data science, research, marketing or business-related roles OR equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead performance analysis and reporting efforts that translate complex player behavior and monetization data into actionable business insights.

 

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Social Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 5+ years experience in retail, ecommerce, data science, research, marketing or business-related roles OR Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Social Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 6+ years experience in retail, ecommerce, data science, research, marketing or business-related roles OR 7+ years experience in retail, ecommerce, data science, research, marketing or business-related roles OR equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years experience in go to market (GTM), marketing strategy, business planning, or similar roles.
  • 5+ years experience in integrated, digital or product marketing management.
  • 3+ years project/vendor management experience.
  • 2+ Gaming Analytics/ player behavior 
  • Proven ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and business strategies
  • Storytelling and presentation skills for executive audiences
  • Experience influencing cross-functional stakeholders
  • Demonstrated success creating clear, compelling charts and slides that turn complex data into actionable, executive-ready stories.
  • Comfort navigating ambiguity and driving clarity through data
  • Deep familiarity with business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Excel, SQL)
  • Background in the gaming industry or digital content platforms is a plus

eCommerce IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $106,400 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $137,600 - $222,600 per year.
