A Brief Overview

Assists researchers and our community partners in the design of research studies including community based participatory research, interventional studies, and clinical trials, and analyze research data under moderate direction. This role will be involved in creation and management of clinical databases, as well as data management. This individual will assist in grant development and preparation including, but not limited to, calculating sample sizes and writing statistical analysis plans, and will contribute to scientific papers.

What you will do

  • Collaborates with data management and operations, including data quality and control reports, monitoring progress to meet research goals, data processing.
  • Curates and prepares data sets for statistical analyses, ensuring safe data sharing processes.
  • Contributes to the design, planning and execution of statistical analyses, including data analyses plans and grant writing.
  • Calculates power and sample size and selects appropriate statistical methods.
  • Analyzes research data and prepares relevant manuscript sections, tables & figures
  • Draws conclusions from analyses and communicates results with research and community partners both orally and in writing.
  • Communicates statistical concepts to researchers and community partners of all levels and backgrounds
  • Uses data visualization to prepares quality figures, tables, and results to summarize study data for journal publications, reports, and presentations.
  • Interacts and consults with researchers and community partners to ensure proper use of statistical methodology and interpretation of results
  • Demonstrates accountability, ensures data integrity and reproducibility throughout all activities.

Required Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:

  • Master's in Biostatistics, Statistics, Data Sciences, or related field

Preferred Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:

  • Programming experience (R, SAS, SPSS, Python, Perl, SQL)
  • REDCap electronic data capture system.
  • Consulting experience.
  • Working knowledge of study designs and advanced analytic methods
