🌍 Join Triptease — Where Travel Tech Meets Impact

At Triptease, we’re building technology that helps hotels thrive in a digital world dominated by Online Travel Agents. Our products empower hotels to increase direct bookings, regain profitability, and build closer relationships with their guests.

Already helping generate over £1 billion in direct revenue annually, we’re scaling fast across 100+ countries with offices in London, New York, Barcelona, and Singapore. It’s a fantastic time to join us as we grow our impact and expand our engineering teams.

We’re a team that values authenticity, ownership, inclusion, and delivering meaningful work — together.

🚀 About the Role

We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer who thrives in solving complex problems, working closely with others, and experimenting with new technologies. You’ll help us craft accessible user experiences, design scalable systems, and explore how AI and automation can make our platform smarter and more impactful for hoteliers worldwide.

🧩 Your Day-to-Day

  • Collaborate within a 6-person cross-functional squad to build, grow, and maintain core parts of our platform.
  • Pair program 80–90% of the time in a collaborative and feedback-rich environment.
  • Design and implement scalable systems using our shared TypeScript / Node / React stack.
  • Explore and experiment with AI tools, integrating them into user-facing features and workflows.
  • Build elegant front-end experiences that are accessible, responsive, and inclusive.
  • Translate data and user insights into workflow improvements and seamless UI.
  • Take part in daily stand-ups, weekly planning, retros, and company-wide Friday demos.

🛠️ Our Tech Stack

We work with a modern, cloud-native stack shared across teams for ease of collaboration and fast iteration:

  • TypeScript, React, Node.js
  • PostgreSQL, Redis, MongoDB
  • Google Cloud Run, Kubernetes, BigQuery, Pub/Sub

Requirements

✅ What You’ll Bring

  • Strong Front-End Skills: Expert knowledge of HTML, CSS, and Web Components. You build clean, semantic, accessible interfaces.
  • System Design Experience: You’ve designed scalable, maintainable platforms in high-growth environments.
  • Data-Driven Mindset: You’ve used product analytics to drive UI/UX decisions and optimise user flows.
  • Curiosity for AI & Automation: You’re interested in exploring emerging technologies, even better if you’ve played with LLMs or automation tools.
  • Collaboration First: You enjoy pair programming, mentoring, and co-creating in a shared codebase.
  • Rapid Learner & Experimenter: You iterate quickly, deliver value early, and stay close to the problem with the end user in mind.

Our Operating Model & Culture

  • In Product-Engineering, we hire people we trust, and then trust them to make their own choices on how they want to work, and how they want to reach a goal. This sounds simple but it requires a lot of investment in the right company culture. Our team is made up of autonomous squads who decide what they work on, how they work and within them have all the skills they need to complete their mission. That means we have no centralised teams (Ops, QA etc).
  • We think that we are doing a good thing for hotels and guests and believe in our mission! We are working on a highly scaled platform that hotels use to build direct relationships with their customers and cut out middlemen. In terms of scale, our software operates on over 10k hotels and collects ~30M guest events a day, and growing. That's a big opportunity to positively impact a lot of people.
  • We engage with our customers to validate assumptions and test new features. We like to go crazy deep on the problem. 'Start with the problem' is one of our three core principles, and beyond tools like FullStory, Intercom and Analytics that help us learn about users, each squad has friends in CS and Sales and even hoteliers themselves to help build that knowledge. Hotel visits and travel research budgets are also a big plus.
  • We care deeply about diversity and inclusion. We have a dedicated D&I squad who meet regularly to work on and propose actions to improve D&I within the team and wider biz. Outside of hiring activities, we work hard to foster an environment of psychological safety. We truly value collaboration and are invested in maintaining a team that encourages everyone to contribute.
  • We optimise for learning. We regularly provide each other with feedback and reflect on the ways we work. We use Notion to bring efficient transparency and create a home for everything we do. We have initiatives like 'Discovery Days', 'Field Trips' and 'Product Management Dojos' to bring new people together and create more learning and development opportunities.
  • We celebrate our progress. At the end of each week, we join the rest of the company to showcase what we’ve accomplished and share our pride in the work we have done with our colleagues.

Triptease is proud to be an equal opportunity employer with an active cross-functional 'diversity squad' devoted to addressing diversity challenges in the company and industry. We welcome applications from diverse and non-traditional backgrounds. Applicants will not be discriminated against on the basis of any protected characteristic(s) in terms of the Equality Act (2010).

No external agency support required for this role.
