About the Risk Management Team
Our Financial Risk Management team helps our clients in the areas of credit, operational and market risks. We help our clients in the methodological areas, underwriting, regulatory practices, ESG and development of risk tools and models. The team is composed of skilled professionals with economics, banking and mathematical backgrounds and diverse experience. Our clients include mid-sized and large financial institutions and banks across the globe (ranging from the USA to Mongolia); you will thus be able to truly broaden your horizons.
Job description & summary
As a junior consultant, you will learn through hands-on experience, assisting in the preparation of proposals for prospective clients, designing solutions, and working on various engagements.
The focus will be on application of CRR regulation in banking sector and investing companies.
Other projects revolve around Risk Regulation (Basel IV, CRR III/CRD 6), Loan Monitoring Approvals (Corporate, SME, and Retail), ESG, Risk Culture, Risk Appetite Frameworks, Capital Management (Optimization, Stress-testing, Internal Capital Adequacy Processes, Capital Allocation), Risk-Based Pricing, Recovery & Resolution (BRRD), Data Management (Quality and Consistency Reviews), Asset Quality Reviews (AQRs), Operational Risk, and Liquidity Risk.
Data analysis is one of the core aspects of the role.
You will have opportunities to travel and explore new cultures, with flexibility in travel requirements.
You will work alongside our senior staff, gaining insights and learning from industry leaders.
Requirements of the role
At least 1 year of experience in credit risk and risk management within a financial institution, along with a keen interest in banking and financial services. Experience with Basel IV, CRR III implementation, or RWA highly appreciated but not required.
Educational background in banking, mathematics, econometrics, or statistics.
Proficiency in data handling is essential for risk management. You should be comfortable working with data to conduct analyses that provide insights and support your conclusions. Familiarity with at least one common statistical programming language (VBA, SQL, R, SAS, Python, Julia) is preferred, but not mandatory, provided you are willing to learn the basics.
Ability to proactively and independently seek solutions to risk management challenges, forming and expressing well-supported judgments.
Confidence in presenting alongside senior staff in client-facing situations.
Strong sense of accountability, ownership, and responsibility for your work and outcomes.
Proficiency in English as the primary working language; proficiency in German is a plus, and Czech is beneficial but not essential.
