Role Mission
Lead and coordinate the effective implementation of the Group’s global data governance framework by contributing to the definition, deployment, and monitoring of policies, standards, roles, and responsibilities. Ensure that key governance principles—such as quality, traceability, ethics, and responsible data usage—are appropriately embedded across the Group’s core processes. Support the consolidation of the federated data governance model, assisting Group units in adopting standards and best practices with focus on processes improvement and automation.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement the global data management framework in coordination with local teams, ensuring consistent and effective application across geographies and business units.
- Define, maintain, and evolve formal roles and responsibilities (Data Owners, Stewards, Custodians), ensuring accountability within each organizational unit.
- Collaborate in identifying key data domains and formally assigning accountable roles.
- Develop guidelines, training materials, and communications to foster a strong data culture and responsible data management practices.
- Monitor adherence to data governance policies, supporting the collection and analysis of compliance metrics (KPIs/KRIs).
- Maintain clear and consistent definitions of data through the business glossary effective implementation.
- Lead internal or external audits related to data governance practices.
- Provide operational support in coordination with compliance, audit, risk, and technology functions.
- Collaborate in the definition and implementation of tools and processes required to ensure and automatize the data governance process.
Profile Requirements
- Minimum 6 years of professional experience in data management, data governance, data quality, or information architecture roles.
- Solid knowledge of data management and governance frameworks (e.g., DAMA-DMBOK, DCAM) and related tools (catalogs, lineage, quality).
- Ability to define and implement role and responsibility models, and to coordinate cross-functional initiatives across multiple organizational units.
- Ability to work in global and matrixed environments, effectively communicating with both technical and business stakeholders.
- University degree in Law, Engineering, Information Science, Business Administration, or related disciplines.
