The DT Data analytics team is seeking a senior data engineer who will play a critical role in meeting various customer needs for data automation, visualization and data driven decisions. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker with a proven record of translating customer needs into actionable automated insights supporting business efficiency and growth.

In this role, you will design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance data solutions using various tools such as data prep tools along with API infrastructure and application platforms. You will work closely with DevOps, data, and application teams to meet customer requirements in a highly regulated aerospace environment.

In this technical leadership role, you will help the team to adopt new technologies and patterns and help them deliver complex technical requirements. A successful candidate will have good executive presence, sharp attention to detail, commitment to quality, and strong communication skills.

What YOU will do:

• Design and develop secure, scalable RESTful APIs and microservices using Python or similar languages.

• Implement API gateways, authentication (OAuth2, JWT), and observability for API endpoints.

• Strong tech-lead capabilities to drive overarching solutions to truly meet customer needs while ensuring overall technical framework is scalable and supportable.

• Design solution, develop & deploy various tableau/PowerBI & data preparation tools

• Create database framework & solutions using Snowflake, Databricks and other key platforms

• Support team’s agile process development adoption following Collins Digital Technology’s best practices and standard procedures.

• Support overall data governance & oversee change management, quality assurance, and security protocols in accordance with Collins and RTX data protection policies.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder.

• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience.

• 2+ years of experience in cloud engineering or DevOps with a strong focus on AWS and/or Azure with strong experience building & securing API

• Deep knowledge of database technologies such as Databricks/Snowflake

• Proficiency in Python, Bash, or Go for scripting and automation.

• 3+ years of experience in technical leadership, technical project management, influential leadership and change management.

• 5+ years of experience in data analytics tools such as tableau, PowerBI, Alteryx, snowflake

• Strong analytical problem-solving abilities, executive presence and collaboration skills.

• Experience in effective management of matrixed teams and developing talent

• Experience working in Agile/PI environment is required

The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
