The Head of Data Operations reports hierarchically to the Head of Data Services (Super Circle Lead Data Management)

Your key responsibilities
By example, with expertise and networking – you lead your team, colleagues, and the overall Client Data Operations’ performance in Luxemburg to new levels of excellence in this role spanning across client & product data. You supervise, coach and motivate your teammates based on the personal objectives periodically established and in accordance with the overall strategy defined jointly at the level of the COO and the strategy of the bank and that of the group.
You represent Client Data Operations team in internal working groups, at the level of the Luxembourg market or at the level of the ING group when the opportunities arise. To minimize the risks in the areas under your responsibility, you make sure that we comply with local and international rules as well as ING group policies. You continuously strive for process improvements and collaborate with your internal stakeholders to maintain a high-quality service level for our RB and WB customers.
Together with your colleagues you are responsible for data quality and standardization whilst always ensuring regulatory compliance. With the customer experience in mind, you are a commercial excellence role model, bring knowledge sharing between teams to a new level, but also take charge of data quality and keep non-financial risk under control.
You are a dedicated team player, trusted partner to your stakeholders and employee engagement is close to your heart in your ambition to deliver the ING difference to our clients.
You ensure good collaboration with all local stakeholders.
You ensure the team is always putting the customer at the forefront of their actions.
Your profile :
- You have bachelor’s degree or MSc or MBA in finance, economics, law or equivalent.
- Strong experience in operational activities areas and understanding what it takes to transition in these areas.
- Demonstrated management experience and skilled in managing across different domains, naturally collaborative with ability to effectively operate within a matrix organization.
- Self-starting mentality – can work without clear guidance.
- Communications skills, and the ability to present and influence stakeholders and audiences towards collective ambitions.
- Sound risk awareness, and analytical skills.
- Great communication skills and organizational sensitivity with ability to adapt to a fast-changing environment and to embrace change.
- Profound track record in driving employee engagement. You demonstrate your leadership skills by coaching, supporting, and developing your direct reports and by organizing effectively the team.
- You are fluent in English and in French.
