Job Description Summary

We are seeking a strategic, results-oriented leader to lead the Data & Analytics team at Novartis Hellas. This high-impact role plays a central part in supporting a range of internal functions—including Commercial, Marketing, and Medical—through advanced analytics, CRM and BI platform ownership, and actionable insights that drive business performance.

The ideal candidate will lead a multidisciplinary team and serve as a key thought partner to senior leadership, shaping field force strategy, enhancing brand planning, optimizing customer engagement, and supporting decision-making across the affiliate. Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a high-performing team of analysts, BI professionals, and data scientists, supporting the evolving data needs of Commercial, Marketing, and Medical functions.
  • Own the CRM platform (e.g., Veeva CRM), overseeing system performance, governance, feature deployment, user training, and strategic alignment with business priorities.
  • Manage end-to-end Business Intelligence (BI) capabilities, including platform oversight (e.g., Power BI, Qlik Sense), stakeholder requirements gathering, prioritization of analytical use cases, and timely delivery of impactful reports and dashboards.
  • Provide strategic guidance to brand teams and commercial leaders, translating brand strategies into data-driven field force deployment models, territory alignment, and segmentation/targeting frameworks.
  • Lead the development and execution of Sales Force Effectiveness (SFE) strategies, including customer profiling, call planning, frequency optimization, and focus vs. breadth analysis. Conduct ongoing performance assessments using relevant KPIs and competitive benchmarks and propose data-informed interventions.
  • Design, implement, and continuously refine incentive schemes for Field Force roles in collaboration with Sales Management, ensuring alignment with performance drivers and business objectives.
  • Develop and maintain robust forecasting models and commercial analytics frameworks, enabling accurate projections of sales performance and market potential.
  • Collaborate with Commercial and Marketing teams to evaluate omnichannel campaign performance, customer responsiveness, and promotional channel effectiveness.
  • Lead the localization of global/regional initiatives, tools, and methodologies, adapting them to the local context while ensuring strategic consistency. Actively engage with regional peers to share insights and best practices.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Business Analytics, Statistics, Data Science, Economics); an MBA is considered an asset.
  • 7–10 years of experience in business analytics, commercial insights, or sales effectiveness roles. Experience in the pharmaceutical industry is considered an asset
  • Proven experience building and leading cross-functional analytics teams, with demonstrated success in partnering with commercial and marketing stakeholders.
  • Strong expertise in Sales Force Effectiveness methodologies, incentive design, and field force deployment strategies.
  • Hands-on experience with Veeva CRM or comparable platforms, including full lifecycle management, training, and strategic enhancement will be considered a plus.
  • Advanced proficiency in BI platforms and modern data stack tools, including Power BI, Qlik Sense, and Snowflake.
  • Demonstrated experience in commercial forecasting, segmentation, targeting, and omnichannel analytics.
  • Strong business acumen, with the ability to synthesize complex data into clear, strategic business recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a track record of success in matrixed or cross-functional environments.
  • Fluency in English and Greek (written and spoken) is required.
