About the Risk Management Team
Our Risk Management and Modeling team helps our clients in the areas of credit, operational and market risks. We help our clients in the methodological areas, underwriting, regulatory practices, ESG and development of risk tools and models. The team is composed of skilled professionals with economics, banking and mathematical backgrounds and diverse experience. Our clients include mid-sized and large financial institutions and banks across the globe (ranging from the USA to Mongolia); you will thus be able to truly broaden your horizons.
Job description & summary
You will primarily lead initiatives on Risk Weighted Assets (RWA) projects, driving strategic solutions that align with regulatory requirements and enhance client value.
The focus will be on application of CRR regulation in banking sector and investing companies. In this senior role, you will oversee project deliveries, communicate with clients, and mentor our junior colleagues. Your responsibilities will include actively engaging in client discussions, quickly orienting yourself to their needs and expectations, and driving successful collaboration. You will also act as a Subject matter expert in the topic of CRR regulation.
Other projects revolve around Risk Regulation (Basel IV, CRR III/CRD 6), Loan Monitoring Approvals (Corporate, SME, and Retail), ESG, Risk Culture, Risk Appetite Frameworks, Capital Management (Optimization, Stress-testing, Internal Capital Adequacy Processes, Capital Allocation), Risk-Based Pricing, Recovery & Resolution (BRRD), Data Management (Quality and Consistency Reviews), Asset Quality Reviews (AQRs), Operational Risk, and Liquidity Risk.
You will be able to travel and visit new places and cultures, but not be forced to.
You will contribute to thought leadership initiatives, providing strategic insights and expertise to shape industry standards and best practices in risk management.
You will leverage your expertise to identify new business opportunities, develop relationships with key stakeholders, and promote sustainable growth in our risk management services.
Requirements of the role
A minimum of 4 years of experience in credit risk financial management within a financial institution, with at least 2 years focused on Risk Weighted Assets (RWA)
Educational background in banking, mathematics, econometrics, or statistics
Proficiency in data analysis to derive insights and support your perspectives, with knowledge of at least one statistical programming language (e.g., VBA, SQL, R, SAS, Python, or Julia)
Strong ability to work independently, proactively seek solutions, and engage effectively with clients.
Demonstrated accountability, ownership, and responsibility in your work.
Proficiency in English as the primary working language; German is a plus and Czech is advantageous but not required.
