Mandate:

The role is to support the Central New Accounts (CNA) team within the Client Enablement group. The Central New Accounts team is a static data team responsible for opening Cash (Equity, Fixed Income) and Swap accounts for Capital Markets clients, as well as enabling clients to trade electronically. Through a centralized onboarding model, in conjunction and partnership with other support functions in the onboarding process (e.g., Client onboarding, KYC, Legal, Credit, Operations, etc.), as well as the front office roles, we are committed to delivering the highest standard of services to our clients and contributing to a great client experience overall.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Be responsible for delivering "white glove" client service while ensuring that all internal BMO policies and procedures, as well as all regulatory requirements, are met.
  • Partner with other internal stakeholder groups to facilitate the most efficient client experience.
  • Respond to urgent client enablement requests and solve problems as they arise.
  • Provide oversight and coordinate the work of offshore BPO teams.
  • Perform quality control reviews of daily account openings.
  • Conduct data quality assurance checks in source product systems.
  • Enable clients to trade fixed income products via electronic platforms.
  • Manage and maintain the online portal for electronic delivery of confirmations and statements.
  • Enroll clients for electronic delivery of confirmations and statements.
  • Review and manage clients' physical return mail (confirmations and statements).
  • Assist with data preparation and reconciliation for ongoing projects.
  • Support management with data analysis and provide relevant insights and recommendations.
  • Design and produce regular and ad-hoc metric reports and dashboards.
  • Exercise judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems within given rules.
  • Document and maintain operational procedures and processes.
  • Think creatively and propose new automation solutions.
  • Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • An undergraduate degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Engineering, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Physics, Statistics, or another STEM related discipline.
  • Python, SQL, PowerBI, Advanced Excel (VBA, PowerQuery) knowledge.
  • Knowledge and experience in data management, data analysis, and automation.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to learn and adapt quickly.
  • Excellent level of relationship management, interpersonal skills and the ability to strategically and ethically leverage these relationships in a demanding environment.
  • Exceptional ability to independently manage multiple priorities and to proactively service multiple internal clients in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work a demanding schedule under limited supervision.
  • Strong business acumen and sound judgement.
  • Interest in Capital Markets and Banking is a plus.
  • Understanding of US & Canada Regulatory framework is a plus (CIRO, FINRA, FATCA/CRS, Dodd-Frank, SEC SBS, Canadian Trade Reporting and NI 93-101).

Compensation

Salary range for this role located in Toronto is $65,000.00 CAD - $85,000.00 CAD

Salary:

$45,500.00 - $84,500.00

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.

BMO Financial Group’s total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
