A Data Analyst is responsible for using their knowledge of data processing software and business development strategies to provide sound business decisions to the company. Their duties include collaborating with other data professionals to extract data figures, creating reports based on their findings, and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to determine business initiatives’ success.
Essential Functions:
- Work with the business leaders to identify opportunities for improvement
- Create reports for internal teams and/or external clients
- Collaborate with team members to collect and analyze data
- Use graphs, infographics, and other methods to visualize data
- Establish KPIs to measure the effectiveness of business decisions
- Structure large data sets to find usable information
- Work with a team of analysts and other associates to process information
- Create presentations and reports based on recommendations and findings
- Use automated tools to extract data from primary and secondary sources
- Remove corrupted data and fix coding errors and related problems
- Develop and maintain databases, data systems
- Perform analysis to assess quality and meaning of data
- Filter data by reviewing reports and performance indicators to identify and correct code problems
- Use statistical tools to identify, analyze, and interpret patterns and trends in complex data sets that could be helpful for the diagnosis and prediction
- Assign numerical value to essential business functions so that business performance can be assessed and compared over periods of time
- Analyze local, national, and global trends that impact both the organization and the industry
- Prepare reports for the management stating trends, patterns, and predictions using relevant data
- Work with programmers, engineers, and management heads to identify process improvement opportunities, propose system modifications, and devise data governance strategies
- Prepare final analysis reports for the stakeholders to understand the data-analysis steps, enabling them to take important decisions based on various facts and trends

Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee in this position frequently communicates with other co-workers/clients who have inquiries about the various projects and other needs. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. The employee must be able to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time. The employee in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. Constantly operate a computer and office machinery such as a calculator, keyboard, copy machine, and printer. Frequently moves boxes with equipment weighing up to 25lbs across the building and/or to other offsite buildings for various project needs.
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelors Degree
- 5+ years of experience
Qualifications:
- Manipulate scripts and dump data into Excel and Excell PowerQuery
- C#, Visual Studio, DotNet, and Powershell
- Technical writing skills

- Technical proficiency regarding database design development, data models, techniques for data mining, and segmentation.
- Experience in handling reporting packages like Business Objects, programming (Javascript, XML, or ETL frameworks), databases
- Proficiency in statistics and statistical packages like Excel, SPSS, SAS to be used for data set analyzing
- Adept at using data processing platforms
- Knowledge of data visualization software like Tableau, Qlik
- Knowledge of how to create and apply the most accurate algorithms to datasets to find solutions
- Problem-solving skills
- Adept at queries, writing reports, and making presentations

- Proven working experience in data analysis
