The Opportunity:
The Product Owner, Data Products, leads the development and lifecycle of data products at Sentrex Health Services. Through collaboration with business stakeholders and BI and data engineering teams, the Product Owner will define and drive the vision, roadmap, and delivery of data-centric solutions that support patient support programs, pharmacy and clinical operations, and strategic decision-making. This role requires an understanding of patient support programs and the data these programs create. Through strong product management practices this role will deliver high-quality, scalable data products that drive business value and enhance patient outcomes.
A Day in the Life (What you will do here):
- Define and own the product vision, roadmap, and backlog for enterprise data products, including reports, dashboards, engineered data features and KPIs, self-serve data access, and APIs.
- Collaborate with patient support programs, pharmacy, clinical operations, and technology teams to gather business requirements and translate them into data product features.
- Prioritize backlog items based on business impact, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder input.
- Lead sprint planning, backlog grooming, and product demos in an Agile environment.
- Work closely with BI analysts, data engineers, architects, and data governance teams to ensure high-quality data pipelines, models, reports, dashboards, and documentation.
- Serve as the voice of the customer for data products—ensure reliability, integrity, and accessibility for end-users.
- Ensure alignment with enterprise data strategy, privacy, and compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA, PHIPA).
- Track product performance and usage metrics, iterating to improve data quality, speed, and usability.
- Identify and mitigate risks and dependencies associated with data products and their delivery.
- Other duties as assigned by you manager
What you need to ensure you are set up for success:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Systems, Health Informatics, or Business).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Product Owner or similar role in a data-driven or analytics-focused environment.
- Experience working with healthcare data is an asset (e.g., Dispenses, Claims, AE).
- Strong knowledge of data warehousing, data modeling, and analytics tools. Knowledge of Power BI and Databricks is an asset.
- Demonstrated success working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Understanding of data privacy and security regulations in healthcare
