The Sales Strategy and Operations function at Stripe plays a crucial role in the success of our sales organization. With a commitment to excellence and a deep understanding of the art and science of sales, our team is dedicated to informing the sales strategy, optimizing processes, and providing insights that propel our sales growth. We do this by being objective, trusted partners to the Sales Leadership team.
What you’ll do
We are seeking a technically sophisticated and detailed oriented individual who will serve as a Sales Strategy and Operations Analytical Lead within the AMER Sales Strategy and Operations team. This person will be responsible for improving the quality of sales analytics and insights on a consistent basis, including standardization of reporting and scalability across the region with the primary objective of enabling sales leadership to make effective, analytically driven decisions. You will work with Sales Leadership and segment-focused Sales Operations business partners to drive the operational cadence and strategy/planning of the business.
Responsibilities
- Operating Cadence: Design and execute on a standard weekly, monthly and quarterly cadence of operations (weekly forecasting calls, monthly business reviews)
- Business Insights: Develop deep understanding of Stripe’s business and its sales funnel across user segments and geographies. Monitor the progress, health, and sustainability of the overall strategy. Provide actionable insight and strategic perspective on business performance to help inform key decisions across GTM teams. Effectively communicate insights and recommendations to business leads and influence strategic decision-making.
- Strategy / Planning: Analyze AMER sales and revenue data, metrics to build models and provide actionable recommendations to shape the strategy during the annual planning process (resource planning, territory design, target/quota setting and management).
- Productivity and Resource Management: Collaborate with our Finance and Strategy teams in modeling our GTM productivity, informing resource allocation and optimisation for the sales organization.
- Program /Process Management: Independently develop and manage project or program plans to support key stakeholder asks and core operational planning processes. Manage AMER wide operational processes and programs such as sales territory building
- Scalable Insight: Conceptualize, build, manage and maintain centralized tools (including spreadsheet models, dashboards) that the business and Sales Strategy and Operations team can use to extract data / insights for daily business management in an automated manner to drive current and future rhythms of business. As a result of insights, identify and improve the usability and accessibility of insights from existing systems and tools, in collaboration with respective development teams
Who you are
We're looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.
Minimum requirements
- 6+ years of work experience in B2B sales strategy and operations and/or business analytics, business strategy/operations, data science, investment banking, management consulting, and/or related domains
- Strong analytical skills, business intuition and a structured approach to solving complex business problems
- User-first mindset: Ability to work proactively and collaboratively with stakeholders, particularly in clearly communicating data insights and takeaways
- Has an enthusiastic “roll up your sleeves” mentality. Pragmatic problem solver, with a bias to action and “getting things done”. Passionate about driving business outcomes and change at the ground level.
- Experience presenting technical content to non-technical audiences and leadership. Courageous communicator translating business insights into practical recommendations.
- Experience initiating and completing analytical projects with minimal guidance, taking a structured approach to solving unique business problems
- Experience in Salesforce (or other CRM). Advanced SQL and Google Sheets modeling skills. Experience working with large data sets, especially in analyzing large imperfect data sets to creatively solve problems and creating scalable reports and dashboards or ad-hoc analysis
Preferred qualifications
- Experience in Python and proficiency in BI visualization tools (e.g., Tableau)
Hybrid work at Stripe
This role is available either in an office or a remote location (typically, 35+ miles or 56+ km from a Stripe office).
Office-assigned Stripes spend at least 50% of the time in a given month in their local office or with users. This hits a balance between bringing people together for in-person collaboration and learning from each other, while supporting flexibility about how to do this in a way that makes sense for individuals and their teams.
A remote location, in most cases, is defined as being 35 miles (56 kilometers) or more from one of our offices. While you would be welcome to come into the office for team/business meetings, on-sites, meet-ups, and events, our expectation is you would regularly work from home rather than a Stripe office. Stripe does not cover the cost of relocating to a remote location. We encourage you to apply for roles that match the location where you currently or plan to live.
Pay and benefits
The annual US base salary range for this role is $140,700 - $211,100. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and location. Applicants interested in this role and who are not located in the US may request the annual salary range for their location during the interview process.
Additional benefits for this role may include: equity, company bonus or sales commissions/bonuses; 401(k) plan; medical, dental, and vision benefits; and wellness stipends.
We look forward to hearing from you
