We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quality Engineer with deep expertise in Data Analytics to lead quality improvement initiatives across our product lifecycle. The ideal candidate will blend strong analytical capabilities with a deep understanding of quality engineering principles, driving data-informed decision-making and root cause analysis. This role is critical in shaping how we use data to maintain and exceed our quality standards. Data Analytic skills will play a critical role in refining data analysis processes, developing foundational datasets and metrics, and ensuring our data infrastructure supports robust analytical capabilities.


The Quality Data Analyst role offers global exposure within NI and to our customers and enables the Quality Team to be Best in Class in reaching business goals and objectives by driving effectiveness and efficiencies through actionable improvements to product quality and customer experience. 


This role will report to the Global Quality Department and will be engaged extensively with the Business Units, Global Services, Manufacturing, and R&D to ensure that customers’ expectations are met.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Develop and implement robust quality strategies using data analytics tools and methodologies.
  • Analyze manufacturing and field performance data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for quality improvement. Extracting, transforming, and analyzing large sets of data
  • Develop and track important quality metrics, dashboards, and key indicators to assist in ongoing improvement efforts. Developing scalable data / reporting / analytics solutionsĀ 
  • Drive root cause analysis and corrective action processes using Six Sigma, DMAIC, or similar frameworks.
  • Building effective collaborations with team members and collaborators
  • Work with multi-functional teams (Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Customer Support) to resolve quality issues and aid new product development.
  • Maintain consistent communication with collaborators and clients through structured communication plans to ensure clarity on status, next steps, and resolution of issues.Ā 
  • Lead statistical analysis and modeling for process capability, reliability, and yield improvement.
  • Support audit processes by providing data-driven evidence and corrective action validation.
  • Provide mentorship to junior quality engineers and data analysts on standard processes in data quality, visualization, and statistical methods

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Material Science, Chemical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, with a strong emphasis on data analytics.
  • Proficient in SQL, Python, R, or other data analysis tools.
  • Experience with data visualization platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, , etc).
  • Solid knowledge of quality standards and tools (e.g., ISO 9001, Six Sigma, FMEA, SPC, DOE).
  • Proven ability to analyze large datasets and translate findings into actionable quality improvements.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with technical and non-technical collaborators.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsĀ 
  • Knowledge of Snowflake warehousing Platform is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skillsĀ 
  • Ability to lead and drive issue managementĀ 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Six Sigma Black Belt or equivalent certification.
  • Experience in regulated industries (e.g., Semiconductor, electronics, medical devices, aerospace, automotive).
  • Familiarity with machine learning techniques for predictive quality analytics.
  • Experience with ERP and MES systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, FactoryTalk).

  • Drive innovations and efficiency by implementing scalable analytics solutions
  • Apply brand new and traditional business intelligence tools to develop scalable insight solutions
  • Perform data engineering type of tasks including acquisition, transformation, and enhancements from multiple sources, profile data, and create scalable, reusable data sets in support of analytical and reporting needs
