 The Senior Enterprise Data Governance Professional is responsible for implementing, operating, and monitoring the company’s data governance program, ensuring robust data protection, and policy compliance. This role involves addressing moderately complex to complex issues, requiring in-depth evaluation of data, business/IT relationships, and regulatory requirements.

This role is integral to supporting and advancing the team’s mission. This individual will be responsible for validating enforcement of data policies and standards, as well as supporting the development and drafting of new policies and standards. The role includes data analysis to ensure compliance has been met.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Partnering with business and technology stakeholders to ensure adherence to data governance and data protection standards.
  • Supporting central governance functions, including policy enforcement and compliance validation.
  • Assisting with drafting, reviewing, and updating policies and standards related to data governance and data protection, ensuring alignment with healthcare and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintaining data governance documentation, preparing reports, and providing business intelligence analysis for OKR (Objectives and Key Results) measurement.
  • Tracking key metrics using Excel and other Microsoft tools to drive insights and measure compliance.
  • Evangelizing data governance best practices across the organization, presenting to various teams, and clearly communicating the importance of policy adherence.
  • Facilitating discussions to explain team functions, the necessity of data policies, and the impact of compliance in a clear and professional manner.
  • Contributing to departmental strategy and acting as a spokesperson for the team in meetings and cross-functional settings.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Demonstrated experience in data governance
  • Experience with both structured and unstructured data
  • Proven ability to manage large-scale, highly visible programs involving multiple projects
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize business concepts into technical requirements
  • Commitment to continuous improvement of consumer experiences

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree
  • Certification in healthcare compliance (e.g., DCAM, RHIA, or equivalent)
  • Strong background in healthcare or related fields
  • Demonstrated experience in business intelligence, policy development, and measurement/reporting for OKRs
  • Well-rounded expertise in both data and policy domains

  • Adept at communicating complex concepts clearly and professionally
  • Polished presentation skills, including PowerPoint and Excel proficiency
  • Organized with strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills
  • Ability to engage with different teams and advocate for the importance of data governance
  • Collaborative and supportive team member with balanced energy and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working in a compliance-driven environment

Additional Information

  • This position is fully remote. Candidates must be able to work core hours in the Central or Eastern time zones

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.


 

$97,900 - $133,500 per year


 

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
