As part of the Pricing Tech & Strategy Team, the Pricing Tech Analyst works closely with the Director of Pricing Tech Data Analytics to support critical technical attributes of the pricing platform, including writing skills to drive desired behaviors, ad hoc reporting, data analytics and dashboards, and ensures pricing and profitability optimization while enabling front-line teammates to best serve their clients. This role requires strong background in VBA or Excel coding and Typescript with experience in or a willingness to learn commercial lending. This role will also support Relationship Management and users of the pricing tool through pricing and modeling loans to obtain desired outcomes in line with Truist’s strategy.Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.
1. Support the Pricing Tech & Strategy team in leveraging data to inform business strategy. Provide research, analysis, and project management support to meet business and financial objectives.
2. Under direction of the Director of Pricing Tech Data Analytics, write pricing tool skills and capabilities to support growth initiatives and operations using VBA/Excel coding skills and/or Typescript.
3. Leverage data to identify areas of opportunity, processes, and improvements in the business, including recommend and execute pricing strategies for Truist.
4. Identify ways to do things better and achieve better business outcomes, work collaboratively within a team of outspoken people.
5. Work with cross-functional leadership to understand business needs and solve complex problems.
6. Assist with creation and usable insights for competitive intelligence and market data, including: loan rate surveys, data consortiums, market share data, website surveys and reviews, and create change summaries.
7. Manage pricing and profitability models and methodologies to assist with segment pricing capabilities. Guides product and portfolio profitability (loan pricing, relationship profitability, or valuation models, tools and/or calculators, data sets etc.).
8. Gather data and perform analytics to properly back test and validate models and documents assumptions that provide the basis for pricing and profitability measurement. Design and implement model documentation, monitoring & back testing routines.
9. Prepare and analyze product, pricing and program financials and develop executive-level management presentations, business reviews, key findings and recommendations.
10. Provide insights and ad hoc reporting for production and portfolios for the Commercial Community Bank and Private Wealth related to pricing performance, pipeline, originations, existing portfolio, relevant key performance and value creation metrics.

1. Two years of experience with data analytics, Excel/VBA, or Typescript development for a fintech, bank, or other revenue-producing company. Equivalent education with coursework (university, college, or accredited specialty program) may be considered in lieu of work experience.
2. Experience in usage of business intelligence (BI) tools, SAS and/or SQL and managing big datasets
3. Expert in Excel programming, including VBA
4. Experience with Typescript
5. Strong execution and delivery skills; ability to translate concepts into concrete analytical and report deliverables, establish plans, structure and staff, develop systems and processes, manage execution, and work efficiently
6. Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to build relationships, display organizational savvy, leverage networks, and value diversity; drive cross-functional team spread across the enterprise
7.Bachelor’s degree in business management, statistics, business or marketing analytics, mathematics, finance, data science, or other quantitative field, or equivalent education and related training.
8. Clear communication skills; ability to speak effectively, foster open communication, listen to others and deliver presentations, including persistence and ability to negotiate with and influence senior leadership decisions.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Banking credit product knowledge from a product, sales, risk, and/or operational perspective in Commercial Lending and/or Capital Markets
2. Knowledge of theoretical and practical accounting and finance concepts and techniques (cash flow models, ROE, economic capital, funds transfer pricing, etc.), including the ability to perform the mathematical calculations, develop models, tools and methodologies which replicate financial mathematics of various financial instruments.

1. Three or more years of experience in business analyst, pricing, analytics, product ownership, or coverage-supporting roles within Consumer and/or Wholesale Banking.
2. Bachelor’s degree in business management, statistics, business or marketing analytics, finance, data science, or related fields; or equivalent education and training.
3. Comprehension of banking products and coverage models, including Wholesale and Consumer Banking, Payments, Lending, and requisite client experiences thereof.
4. Strong project management, PowerPoint, and related skills.
5. Sound presentation skills and ability to translate metrics into understandable business insights.
6. Advanced Excel and macros skills.
7. Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to build relationships, display organizational savvy, leverage networks, and value diversity; drive cross-functional team spread across the enterprise.
8. Demonstrated ability to be flexible and adaptive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Three or more years in a Corporate Treasury, commercial loan pricing, analytics, or performance management role.
2. Comprehension of finance, pricing, and treasury concepts such as FTP and marginal funding curve, liquidity premiums, yields, spreads, return metrics, and underwriting concepts (Risk-Adjusted returns, PD, LGD, EL).
3. Experience in managing complex data sets and the usage of data tools such as Snowflake, SAS, SQL, Python, and Business Intelligence (BI) tools such as Tableau and QlikSense.
4. Prior knowledge of performance, profitability and pricing reporting and metrics.
5. Financial systems experience such as SAP or Oracle financials.
