GenAI Platform Owner

As we grow our GenAI capabilities, we are looking for a GenAI Platform Owner to join our KONE GenAI Lighthouse team, a pioneering group shaping the future of GenAI within KONE.

This role combines technical leadership, platform development & operations, and hands-on engineering coordination, with the opportunity to influence how GenAI is used across one of Finland’s most iconic companies. You'll lead the GenAI platform development, support Proof of Value (PoV) execution, and help scale a high-performing platform operations with a hybrid team of internal experts and external partners. We’re not looking for a unicorn — but for someone experienced, curious, and eager to build smart and sustainable AI foundations with us, and know how to scale.

Position will be based in Espoo, Finland.

Key Responsibilities

GenAI Platform development:

• Drive the GenAI platform roadmap, including architecture, integration, and tooling, in partnership with architect. The roadmap delivers a high-quality, scalable, and maintainable platform.

• Own the development, backlog prioritization, and ensure effective delivery practices across development, testing, and deployment

• Align with internal GenAI product owners, developers and other stakeholders to validate needs and prioritize development.

• Guide the adoption of modern AI engineering practices (e.g. MLOps, GenAIOps, CI/CD for AI).

• Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and data privacy standards in partnership with architect.

• Track and assess emerging GenAI trends, tools, capabilities that support the platform (e.g., Microsoft, AWS) evolution.

GenAI Platform operations:

• Take end-to-end responsibility for the platform's health — including availability, reliability, performance, incident response, and continuous improvement.

• Coordinate across internal teams (e.g., product development, security, infrastructure) and external vendors to ensure seamless platform operations with clear communication, prioritization of operational needs, and driving operational excellence through collaboration.

• Support KONE application teams in onboarding and efficiently adopting the GenAI platform.

• Act as an ambassador and enabler of platform usage across KONE functions and teams.

Support for Innovation and Proof of Value(PoV) execution:

• Understand the PoV portfolio and ensure the platform enables fast, easy experimentation and supports future product development through responsive, scalable, and user-friendly infrastructure.

You are a great fit if you have:

• MSc or equivalent knowledge in computer science, AI/ML, software engineering, or similar.

• Strong platform development and project execution skills — backlog planning, sprint leadership, vendor coordination, with hands-on experience with AWS Cloud technology and other GenAI or AI/ML platforms (e.g. Azure OpenAI, LangChain, Vector DBs, RAG architecture).

• Experience in product or platform ownership or architectural decision-making in enterprise environments.

• Strong skills and experience in managing day-to-day operations, SLAs, monitoring, and issue resolution processes

• Familiarity with AI product lifecycle: discovery → PoV → scale.

• Excellent English communication skills and comfort working with cross-functional teams.
