About the Role

This role is for a Senior Data Architect with hands-on expertise in Databricks and experience in enterprise data platform modernization, specifically migrating to Unity Catalog.

Responsibilities 

• Lead architectural design and execution of data lake and data warehouse solutions on Databricks.
• Architect and oversee the migration of existing data and governance frameworks to Unity Catalog, including setting up secure access controls, data lineage, and cataloged metadata.
• Define best practices for data governance, security, using Unity Catalog.
• Collaborate with enterprise data teams, and platform engineers to ensure architecture supports business use cases.

Required Skills and Experience

• Minimum 5 years experience 
• Data architecture, engineering, or platform design. 
• Experience with Databricks, including hands-on work with Delta Lake, notebooks, and data pipelines.
• Experience migrating to Unity Catalog and knowledge of Databricks' governance and security models.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
• Strong knowledge of data security, RBAC/ABAC, and enterprise metadata management.
• Excellent communication skills with a track record of stakeholder engagement and team collaboration.
• Banking experience required
