Ngā Kōrero mo tēnei tūranga / About the role

Due to ongoing growth, we are recruiting for a Microsoft Power Apps AI Specialist to join our team. In this newly created role, you will have the opportunity to make this role your own. Your focus will be on the Microsoft Power Platform, leveraging Power Apps, Copilot Studio, and Azure AI services to develop low-code applications, copilots, and agents. Additionally, you will play a key role in creating and governing custom GPTs and other AI solutions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing, building, and deploying AI-enhanced Power Apps solutions using Dataverse, Copilot Studio, AI Builder, and Azure OpenAI

  • Creating and governing custom GPTs, copilots, and agents that automate business processes

  • Developing and maintaining api connections to other systems, agents and solutions from the power platform environment

  • Producing clear solution architecture and documentation covering privacy, performance, and support requirements

  • Upskilling and supporting citizen developers through reusable templates, guidance, and workshops

  • Providing technical guidance and troubleshooting during presales, proof-of-concept, and production roll-outs

Ngā pūkenga kei a koe / Skills and experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent applied experience

  • Power Platform AI development – advanced Power Apps (Power Flow, canvas, model-driven, custom pages), Copilot Studio Agents, AI Builder models, Dataverse

  • Applied GenAI / LLM integration – using Azure OpenAI Service to embed GPTs, RAG patterns, and agents inside Power Apps and Copilots

  • Connectivity & integration – custom connectors, REST/GraphQL APIs, Azure Functions/Logic Apps, and data sources (SQL, SharePoint, Teams)

  • Microsoft certifications (PL-400, PL-200, AI-102) or equivalent (desirable)

  • Experience with multi-cloud GenAI services (AWS Bedrock, GCP Vertex AI) or Dynamics 365 customisation (desirable)

  • Proven ability to coach citizen developers and run presales workshops / demos (desirable)
