PwC New Zealand is seeking a seasoned AI Specialist to join our dynamic Customer Transformation team in Tāmaki Makaurau / Auckland. You will bring your knowledge and assist in solving the most important problems for our clients. You will take a holistic view of transformation, integrating strategy and operations to increase productivity and growth.

Key responsibilities of this role include: 

• Lead the development and delivery of AI strategies for our team and our clients.

• Advise clients on the use of AI technologies, including generative AI, machine learning, NLP, and computer vision, for operational improvement and innovation.

• Translate business challenges into AI-driven solutions and present value propositions to stakeholders.

• Coordinate cross-functional teams (e.g., data scientists, data engineers, industry experts) to ensure high-quality outcomes.

• Ensure compliance is kept front of mind and help PwC and clients to manage risks relating to AI use.

• Ensure responsible and ethical use of AI, considering bias, fairness, transparency, and data privacy.

• Build long lasting client and team relationships.

• Mentor and support junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

• Contribute to the development of AI thought leadership, publications, and presentations representing PwC’s perspective.

• Keep abreast of AI trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory developments.

Ngā pūkenga kei a koe / Skills and experience

• Relevant certifications, degree or experience with AI is critical

• Strong understanding of AI architecture and background processing

• Proven experience designing and building AI solutions using machine learning, natural language processing, computer vision, or generative AI.

• Understanding of data preprocessing, feature engineering, model selection, training, tuning, and validation.

• Experience with a variety of AI Tools and Models such as Cursor.ai, ChatGPT, Claude etc 

• Experience delivering, building or leveraging AI solutions 

• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

• Ability to communicate technical concepts in plain English to clients and colleagues.

• Ability to travel within New Zealand as needed.

• Customer-friendly attitude with a focus on building strong client relationships.

• Team player with a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
