In the eCommerce Data Intelligence Team, we work on data-driven solutions that create real added value for our customers and colleagues – from complex data streams to recommendation engines and LLM integrations.

Are you passionate about actively shaping this eCommerce world and do you bring a strong affinity for data and modern data technologies? Do you also believe that data is the raw material that drives innovation? Then you've come to the right place!

Job Description

  • Designing Scalable Data Infrastructure: You will develop robust ETL pipelines to integrate diverse data sources – from eCommerce and logistics to CRM systems – into our centralized data warehouse.
  • Turning Data into Intelligence: You will design and operationalize machine learning solutions such as recommender systems, forecasting models, or generative AI applications (e.g., LLMs) to enable data-driven decision-making.
  • Ensuring Data Quality: You’ll take responsibility for maintaining high data quality, consistency, and availability to support reliable analytics and AI solutions.
  • Automating Data Workflows: You’ll automate data processes using modern CI/CD principles and help build a scalable and maintainable data infrastructure.
  • Collaborative Mindset: You’ll work closely with data scientists, software engineers, and business stakeholders, contributing your technical expertise to drive innovation and value through data.

Qualifications

  • Proven Expertise: You bring several years of hands-on experience in data science, machine learning, and/or AI engineering.
  • Technical Proficiency: You have excellent command of SQL, Python, and dbt, and solid experience with modern data architectures and ETL frameworks.
  • Strong Data Understanding: You’re well-versed in data modeling and integration, with the ability to design and manage complex data flows.
  • Machine Learning Experience in Practice: You have extensive experience with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn – from model development to production deployment.
  • Structured and Independent Work Style: You work in a self-directed, structured manner and take ownership of your projects – even in fast-paced environments.
  • Curiosity & Drive: You have a strong willingness to learn new technologies and continuously improve existing processes.
  • Communication Skills: You are fluent in English and comfortable working in an international team setting.
  • Cloud & Infrastructure Know-how: You have experience working with cloud platforms – ideally Google Cloud – and understand Infrastructure-as-Code concepts (e.g., Terraform).
  • DevOps & Agile Practices: You are familiar with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and agile development methodologies, and know how to apply them effectively in data-driven projects.

Additional Information

  • Flat hierarchies and short decision-making channels
  • A family-friendly company culture with flexible working hours and remote working options available according to your individual needs
  • Numerous training and further development opportunities within the Group (5% of working time for self-organized training and education)
  • A lunch allowance
  • Staff shopping and travel discounts
  • Extensive workplace wellness programme including fitness classes, massages, etc.
  • An industry-standard, attractive and performance based annual gross salary starting at 50,000 Euro (on a full-time basis) with the possibility of higher pay according to experience and qualifications
