Job Description

We are looking for a colleague, who would join the Data Engineering Team and help us develop Data solutions in a cloud based Microsoft Fabric data platform. Advanced data analytics will be one of our key sources of global competitive advantages. You will contribute to the creation of a green and secure energy ecosystem by:

  • Collaborating with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand data needs and delivering high-quality datasets
  • Integrating data from 40+ sources (on-premises, cloud, APIs) into a unified data platform
  • Leading technical solutions development
  • Designing and implementing robust data pipelines using Python as Azure Function Apps and/or Microsoft Fabric tools, including Data Factory, Apache Airflow DAGs, and Lakehouses
  • Developing and maintaining Data Warehouses, Notebooks, and Spark-based transformations
  • Developing and maintaining data models, ETL processes, and BI reports
  • Ensuring data quality, security, and compliance with organizational and regulatory standards
  • Staying current with emerging trends and best practices in cloud data engineering and the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering building Data Warehouses of any kind
  • Experience leading and implementing data governance frameworks and data cataloging tools. Strong understanding and experience of data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and data warehousing concepts. Experience with Apache Airflow or similar (e.g. Jenkins, Dagster)
  • Extensive experience and deep knowledge of SQL (Microsoft SQL Server or other), PySpark, Python and Power BI. Experience with Data streaming using Apache Kafka or Apache Pulsar or similar
  • Extensive experience building and optimizing data pipelines, architectures and data sets
  • Experience mentoring and growing team members on their daily technical challenges or career technical goals. Good communication skills (Lithuanian and English), ability to work as part of a team
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

Would be an advantage:

  • Experience or familiarity with Microsoft Fabric, Azure or its components
  • Any Cloud based Data Platform experience
  • Microsoft Certified: Fabric Data Engineer Associate or similar certifications
