Job Summary

NeueHealth seeks a detail-oriented and technically proficient Data Analyst to focus on the bronze layer of our Medallion Architecture.  In this foundational role, you will serve as the critical bridge between our 3rd party sources and data collection systems, ensuring that raw, unprocessed data is properly mapped, ingested, and normalized for consumption by our data engineering and analytics teams.  The ideal candidate combines SQL expertise and Scala, prior healthcare knowledge, and a commitment to data quality.   Duties & Responsibilities
  • Document data mapping to ingest raw data from diverse sources into the Bronze layer of our data lake
  • Approach complex data mapping challenges with creativity and a solution-oriented mindset
  • Document data lineage and ingestion logic for transparency and compliance
  • Establish and monitor data quality checks within the ingestion process to identify anomalies, missing values, schema drift, and data quality issues
  • Troubleshoot ingestion issues and implement effective solutions
  • Implement dashboards to track data health in the Bronze layer
  • Foster a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement within data operations
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in a Data Analyst or Data Engineer position
  • Strong SQL skills and familiarity with data manipulation in raw formats
  • Experience working with complex healthcare data strongly preferred
  • Relevant experience working with large datasets in data lake environment
  • Knowledge of ETL/ELT methodologies and best practices
  • Understanding of data modeling concepts and techniques
  • Experience with data quality management and testing frameworks

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Scala
  • Experience with Databricks environment
  • Familiarity with modern data architecture patterns
  • Experience with big data technologies (Spark, Delta Lake)
  • Knowledge of data governance principles
  • Previous work in a data-driven organization
