  • Define best practices and technical standards for AI development, evaluation and deployment, ensuring long term sustainability.
  • Work closely with Technology leaders to ensure AI solutions are production-ready, performant and integrated into the broader technology stack.
  • Promote and support adoption of AI tools across internal functions through stakeholder education, proof-of-concepts and advocacy.
  • Stay ahead of AI trends, tools and regulations to inform strategic investment decisions and inspire innovation across the team and business.
  • Contribute to KPIs that track AI initiative success, from solution performance to business impact and adoption metrics.
  • Provide AI expertise in cross-functional forums, supporting governance, risk, and compliance efforts where AI is in scope.

Requirements

  • Significant experience leading applied AI/ML teams and initiatives in a commercial environment, ideally at a product-oriented company.
  • Deep understanding of AI/ML technologies and techniques, including supervised and unsupervised learning, natural language processing and model explainability.
  • Proven ability to translate business challenges into AI solutions that scale, with a track record of delivering measurable outcomes.
  • Collaborative mindset with experience working in close partnership with Product, Engineering and Business teams.
  • Strong understanding of MLOps principles and familiarity with modern machine learning tooling (e.g., MLflow, Kubeflow, SageMaker, etc.).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, particularly with senior and non-technical audiences.
  • Familiarity with data governance, privacy and ethical AI practices.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science or related field.
  • Experience evaluating third-party AI solutions and integrating vendor tools when appropriate.
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, resource-constrained environments with a focus on ROI and business alignment.
