All about the role:

Within the Group Procurement Organization, a global function with more than 500 team members with a truly global reach, the Purchasing Data Analyst has the key responsibility of supporting the team to maintain a competitive and high performing portfolio of suppliers.

We operate in all the World regions with a panel of international suppliers engaging them with our internal business partners as: R&D, Quality, Manufacturing & Engineering, Product Line, Finance and all the functions involved projects by projects.

What you’ll do:

Reporting to the Procurement Director of Steel Raw Material, you will be responsible for:

  • Diving data research, analytics, and management of direct material categories: carbon and stainless steel.
  • Supporting Category Managers with market and supplier data to facilitate strategic negotiations.
  • Performing first evaluation and screening of offers from suppliers.
  • Running internal and external analysis (industry & supplier) as a member of a cross-functional sourcing team.
  • Supporting RFQ-Request for Quotation and other strategic sourcing activities.
  • Analyzing, evaluating and proposing actions and initiatives around complexity reduction, standardization, cost reduction and speed to market.
  • Performing cross-regional data analysis and benchmarking to identify best practices in the use and application of different steel types and grades.
  • Designing and automating dashboards to monitor market, cost trends, and category insights, while transforming complex data into clear, actionable visualizations and strategic storytelling.
  • Creating automated solutions to streamline reporting, enhance cost analysis across regions, and strengthen data-driven sourcing processes, including RFQs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management, Mathematics, Management Information Systems or other related disciplines
  • 1-3 years of working experience in a Procurement function or in an adjacent field (e-g. Supply Chain or R&D)
  • Ability to work with key stakeholders in a global set-up
  • Data-driven approach and ability to work with big amount of info and inputs
  • Results-oriented and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet critical deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good organizational skills with the ability to meet goals and deliver results effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications – Expert in Microsoft Excel preferred
  • Digital mindset, with the ability to manage large data sets, and convert it to actionable information
  • Fluent in English
