Job Summary: 

Works with internal business partners and external resources to provide application systems that enable functional processes.  Provides basic functional and system application support while developing experience in system solution creation and delivery. Assigned smaller projects or a phase of a larger project. Works under general supervision with few direct instructions.

Responsibilities:  Partners with business stakeholders to scope, define, and design system requirements for order entry outputs to manufacturing systems.  Additional responsibilities may include the following:

  • Executing projects within a cross-functional team
  • Managing priorities in conjunction with the business 
  • Problem solving
  • Testing / debugging
  • Adhering to data standards and best practices
  • Creating and documenting systems specifications 
  • Estimating work requirements
  • Delivering high quality releases per team commitments
  • Writing business rules or doing other system configuration work
  • Understanding/supporting internal and external data integrations with OE systems
  • Support releases / updates
  • Providing training as required
  • Supervisory Responsibilities: None
  • Responsibilities outside of normal business hours: Shared support, scheduled maintenance and disaster recovery assignments.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Percentages represent guidelines only; May vary by position and fluctuate due to changing business needs.

  • 50% Day to day support - Support current business systems including issue identification and resolution, functional performance monitoring and tuning and disaster recovery capability to meet business objectives leveraging both user feedback and internal metrics to drive improvement.
  • 10% Gather Requirements – Work with Customers to understand and document business requirement.
  • 15% Analysis and design work -  Analyze business requirements, develop design, manage configuration and integration, and conduct robust testing to support new system implementations, current system upgrades and business process changes and CI initiatives. Work to be reviewed with more Sr. Analyst or manager.
  • 10%   Reports and Metrics - Extract and format data to support functional reporting and metric needs.
  • 10% Documentation and Training - Create and maintain documentation and conduct end user training.  Educate users in workflow, business processes, and reporting metrics enabled by system.
  • 5% Project management - Development and coordination of small project tasks or assist other team members in developing project plans for larger projects.

 

Technical / functional skills (includes computer skills): Build knowledge of Pella product offering, Oracle Configurator, Oracle Bill of Materials, Java, SQL, Agile PLM, Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, Project, and Access.  Strong leadership, organization and project management skills, and the ability to speak in front of groups of customers and/or employees.

Certifications or licenses: none

Travel Expected: 0-15% of time

Education and/or Experience:  Bachelor’s degree or two year degree with 2 years related functional experience.
