Lead AI Developer with Vertex Experience

 

Perficient currently has a career opportunity for a  Lead AI Developer well versed in Vertex in our Chicago, IL, office.  As an AI developer, you will be part of Perficient's Product Development Solutions Practice developing best in class experiences for Perficient customers. 

Perficient is seeking a AI Developer with training and/or experience in modern AI technologies. We are particularly looking for candidates who are both strong programmers and have experience in developing, debugging, optimizing, and/or digging into new, cutting-edge AI programming tools.

• Work with researchers to develop and tune AI-heavy features for Perficient clients 
• Profile and optimize AI models for use in client applications
• Work with engineers on other Perficient teams to deploy AI models in cloud servers. 
• Develop software tools and workflows to facilitate and automate these tasks, and to support long-term maintenance. 
• Experience building AI Applications leveraging agentic frameworks.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in AI research, model conversion, and industry standards.
• Familiarity with best practices for prompt engineering and MCP servers. 
• Ability to self-direct and build full-stack prototypes to show thought process and work direction.

 

• B.S. or M.S., in Computer Science or a related field. 
• Experience with modern AI in a consulting/agency environment. 
• An interest in applying your skills to problems in various environments.
• Strong programming skills (including C/C++ and Python). 
• Experience on Vertex with Agentspace 
• Experience with hands on deployment with AI technologies
• Experience in core cloud platform technologies, especially Google
• Should have a passion for quality and engineering excellence. 
• And excellent communication and collaboration skills

 

The salary range for this position takes into consideration a variety of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, level of experience, applicable office location, training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The new hire salary range displays the minimum and maximum salary targets for this position across all US locations, and the range has not been adjusted for any specific state differentials. It is not typical for a candidate to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the unique facts and circumstances regarding each candidate. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this position is $73,008 to $170,640. Please note that the salary range posted reflects the base salary only and does not include benefits or any potential equity or variable bonus programs.
