We're looking for an ambitious and forward-thinking Analytics Engineer to help drive our data capabilities to the next level. In this role, you’ll harness the power of GCP BigQuery and dbt Cloud to build world-class data models and products that fuel everything from APIs to analytics dashboards. You'll ensure that teams across the business can make confident, data-driven decisions without worrying about infrastructure, transformation pipelines, or data quality. Working closely with data engineers, you'll help shape our architecture and permissions landscape, while supporting our CI/CD pipelines using tools like SQLFluff and Slim CI.

You'll manage and evolve dbt environments, train teams to become dbt-savvy, and collaborate with visualisation developers to keep Looker perfectly aligned with your data models. The must haves

In order to be considered, you must have the following experience;

• Using products such Apache Airflow, DBT, Gitlab/Github, BigQuery
• Advanced in SQL
• Data Modelling including working with denormalised data structures, testing, asserts and data cleansing
• Working on a cloud environment, preferably GCP
• Working in a high data volume environment
• Have experience with YAML and Jinja

The other stuff we are looking for

We'd also love you to bring;

• Experience with Python
• The desire to work in a fast-paced environment based on continual improvement principles and iteration with the ability to deploy multiple times a day
• Attention to detail and data quality
