The Work:We are seeking a highly motivated Data Scientist Intern to join our team and contribute to the development of user-friendly interfaces and insightful reporting dashboards. The primary focus will be on leveraging Microsoft Power Apps and Power BI to support various projects, including model monitoring solutions and dashboarding of external data sources. This role offers hands-on experience in creating impactful tools and analytics solutions to result in data-driven decision-making. 

The Core Responsibilities of the Job:

  • Develop, customize, and enhance user interfaces using Power Apps for data-driven workflows. 
  • Design and implement interactive dashboards in Power BI to visualize key metrics and trends. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and ensure alignment with project goals. 
  • Integrate external data sources into reporting solutions to provide comprehensive insights. 
  • Support model monitoring solutions, ensuring effective tracking and reporting of key performance indicators. 
  • Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize applications and dashboards to ensure seamless performance. 
  • Document processes, designs, and best practices for future reference. 

Let's Talk About You!

  • Enrolled in a graduate program pursuing a degree in one of the following fields: Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related discipline. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Power Apps for application development. 
  • Strong experience in Power BI for data visualization and reporting. 
  • Solid understanding of data integration techniques and working with external data sources. 
  • Basic knowledge of data modeling, SQL, and querying databases. 
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data to create actionable insights. 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. 
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities. 
  • Experience with data monitoring tools or model performance tracking is an asset. 
  • Familiarity with Python, R, or other scripting languages for data manipulation is an asset. 
  • Understanding of Azure or other cloud-based data tools is an asset. 
  • Exposure to machine learning concepts or related data science methodologies is an asset.
