Key Responsibilities

BI Modernization

o Lead hands-on development of data pipelines and reports within Microsoft Fabric.

o Ensure data privacy, security, and access controls are properly implemented.

o Collaborate with vendors and partners to align final solutions with business expectations.

ETL & Data Warehouse

o Design, deploy, and maintain ETL processes (currently SSIS/manual imports).

o Manage and enhance the data warehouse (currently SQL Server on Azure).

Reporting & Analysis

o Deliver accurate, timely, and actionable insights via Power BI.

o Build and optimize dashboards and enable self-service reporting.

Project Collaboration

o Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to drive BI initiatives.

o Translate business requirements into technical solutions with clear value and transparency.

Operational Support

o Provide timely resolutions for BI-related issues, bugs, and inquiries.

o Communicate project updates, insights, and challenges effectively across teams.

Required Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Science, or equivalent experience.

· Strong hands-on experience as a BI Developer and/or Data Engineer on Microsoft Fabric or Azure Data Platform.

· Strong expertise in data modeling and semantic modeling to support self-service analytics.

· Proficiency in Fabric Data Pipelines, Azure Data Factory, Python, PySpark, and SQL.

· Proven ability to design and implement scalable, configurable, and reusable data processing frameworks.

· Deep understanding of efficient data architecture and pipeline design, including automation, parameterization, error handling, orchestration and monitoring.

· Hands-on experience with the Microsoft BI stack, especially Power BI and Fabric.

· Experience implementing Row-Level Security, Column-Level Filtering, Role-Based Access Controls, and Data Masking/Anonymization.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with the capacity to manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience in the Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) industry.

· Microsoft Fabric certification or prior implementation experience.

· Bonus: Experience with Data Governance frameworks or implementation.

Notes:

This is a hybrid role (3 days in office) based out of our HQ in Richmond. The base salary will range between $115,000 - $130,000 with bonus.
