Our continued growth has created an opportunity to join our team as a Director, Data Management. Aspen Dental is seeking a highly skilled and self-motivated Director of Data Management to oversee the integrity, maintenance, and optimization of multiple critical data repositories across the organization. This role will play a key part in supporting our managed care operations and strategic payor initiatives. The Director will ensure data accuracy, completeness, and usability across a range of functions including oversight of rate audits, facility and provider rosters, health plan audits, and performance reporting.

This individual will report directly to the Senior Vice President of Payor Strategy and will serve as a pivotal leader in driving operational excellence through data quality and analytical support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the structure, quality, and maintenance of enterprise-level data repositories across all payor strategy functions.

  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of:

  • Facility and provider rosters

  • Audit and reconciliation of health plan rosters

  • Cross-functional performance metrics and KPIs

  • Data integrity for high-volume extracts used for executive reporting and compliance

  • Develop and implement data governance practices and tools to maintain high-quality standards across all payor-related data sets.

  • Collaborate with IT, Analytics, Payor Contracting, Enrollment, Plan Management and other departments to ensure alignment on data structure, integration, and reporting.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on data processes related for department.

  • Provide hands-on support with complex data queries and transformations using SQL, BigQuery, and advanced Excel modeling.

  • Manage and optimize data workflows to support large-scale reporting and audits.

  • Proactively identify areas for process improvement and implement scalable, data-driven solutions.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Data Science, Health Informatics, Business Analytics, or a related field

  • Minimum of 5–10 years of experience in data management, preferably within a large, matrixed healthcare organization.

  • Proven track record of managing and maintaining large, complex data libraries and repositories.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including Power Query, Pivot Tables, VBA/macros).

  • Strong experience with SQL and/or Google BigQuery for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.

  • Deep understanding of managed care operations, including provider and facility data structures and payor interactions.

  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills; must be able to handle multiple competing priorities with minimal oversight.

  • Self-starter with high attention to detail and a continuous improvement mindset.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex data in clear, actionable formats for executive stakeholders.


Salary: 160-180k,plus bonus/incentives
