Job Overview 

AT&T is building a new era of intelligent automation. As a Senior AI Automation Engineer, you will architect, build, and deploy agentic AI solutions that transform how entire AT&T divisions work and deliver value. You will be leveraging the power of LLMs, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and next-gen AI agents to automate complex, traditionally manual workflows, unleashing revolutionary productivity and efficiency. 

You’ll be a hands-on engineer working primarily in Python, orchestrating cloud-native, containerized (Docker) solutions and integrating cutting-edge AI frameworks like LangGraph and advanced prompt engineering. Your work will directly drive the adoption of autonomous AI agents, enabling smarter business operations, seamless data pipelines, and adaptive digital services. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor peers, and help define best practices for secure, ethical, and scalable AI automation across AT&T’s enterprise. 

Core Responsibilities 

• Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines and agentic AI solutions to power advanced analytics and intelligent automation. 

• Lead the implementation of scalable AI-driven workflows using platforms such as Generative AI, Agentic AI, LLMs, RAG pipelines, and orchestration frameworks (e.g., LangGraph). 

• Work with both structured and unstructured data, leveraging advanced tools, AI platforms, and statistical quality controls. 

• Architect and build scalable, production-grade applications with deep expertise in Python 

• Take ownership of key technical deliverables across the full software development lifecycle (SDLC). 

• Apply and advocate best practices in software engineering, code quality, testing, and DevOps. 

• Leverage AI-driven tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, LLMs, RAGs) and stay current with emerging technologies. 

• Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement. 

• Support agile project delivery, participate in team ceremonies, and contribute to cross-functional initiatives. 

 

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience 

Day-to-Day 

• Hands-on development of data pipelines, agentic workflows, and AI-powered automations. 

• Reviewing code, troubleshooting, and optimizing data and AI-driven workflows. 

• Facilitating technical discussions, knowledge sharing, and continuous learning. 

• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams (engineering, data science, legal, security, policy). 

• Supporting and mentoring junior engineers to ensure high standards in technical delivery. 

 

Technical Skills 

• Expert-level skills in data and AI engineering platforms (Microsoft Copilot, LangGraph, LLMs, RAG).  

• Strong proficiency in Python.  

• Proven ability to design and implement scalable pipelines and agentic AI solutions.  

• Advanced experience with structured and unstructured data, including validation and quality checks.  

• Familiarity with code quality and security tools: Lint, Prettier, Veracode, SonarQube. 

• Practical knowledge of CI/CD automation (GitHub Actions, Terraform) and cloud-native platforms (Azure, Docker, Kubernetes). 

• Solid understanding of SDLC and agile methodologies (Agile/Scrum, SAFe). 

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills. 

 

Additional Desirable Experience 

• AI security and robust implementation of AI/data governance best practices. 

• Involvement in migration or modernization of legacy systems. 

• Experience working in large, distributed enterprise environments. 

 

Education 

Bachelor level degree or equivalent in Computer Science, or related field of study.

Location and Work Environment 

These roles are based in Bratislava, Slovakia; Kosice, Slovakia; and Brno, Czechia. They are hybrid-flex positions requiring presence in the office 1-3 times per week, with occasional travel between these locations.
