AI and ML Architect, Senior

Key Role:

Designs and implements effective AI solution architecture or strategy utilizing approaches of various AI technologies and methods to address clients' business problems and needs, while complying with the organization’s strategies and business goals, and key ethical considerations. Applies leading-edge principles, theories, and concepts. Contributes to the development of new principles and concepts. Works on unusually complex problems and provides highly innovative solutions. Operates with substantial latitude for unreviewed action or decision. Mentors or supervises employees in both company and technical competencies.

Basic Qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience in data or solution architecture or engineering

• 5+ years of experience with AI or ML in production system such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platforms

• 3+ years of experience with AI, or ML systems

• Experience in ETL processes, data integration, and scripting to abstract complex data into structured actionable models

• Experience in data governance, curation processes, and quality assurance practices

• Ability to manage high-performing technical teams

• Secret clearance

• Bachelor’s degree

Additional Qualifications:

• Experience in selecting tools with the Authority to Operate (ATO) in the department of defense

• Experience leading data-centric AI or ML projects within the defense sector

• Possession of excellent communication skills, including facilitating collaboration between technical teams, experts, and stakeholders

• Possession of excellent leadership and change management skills to foster collaboration and drive organizational adoption of AI

• Master’s degree

• Certifications with cloud-based AI services, including AWS SageMaker or Google AI Platform

Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $99,000.00 to $225,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
