Job Type Full-time Description

Position Summary:


The Master Data Management (MDM) Specialist is responsible for working with the BI Manager to implement a new Data Governance strategy across the organization. The MDM Specialist role is responsible for the execution of processes and maintenance of various Master Data Management elements to ensure accurate data creation and working with business in ensuring proper business validation takes place. This position is a focal point for data maintenance and requires collaboration with cross functional departments to develop master data business rules and processes that support operational efficiency throughout the organization. Works with cross functional teams and must have a strong background. The MDM Specialist will be responsible for collecting and maintaining all Master Data for the organization. 


Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities:


  • Create and maintain Master Data Domain information.
  • Coordinate and be responsible for Master Data process creation, setup, and maintenance with validation; applicable to cross functional departments ensuring data quality and integrity is maintained.
  • Responsible for developing, defining, implementing, documenting and perform training on Master Data processes and writing SOPs to ensure data quality, data consistency and integrity.
  • Responsible for configuring & testing change requests affecting master data in the development & Quality Assurance systems.
  • Work with other departments and/or teams to coordinate Master Data Management requirements to ensure data consistency and integrity is maintained across the organization.
  • Support Master Data Management governance initiatives. 
  • Assist with system implementations, acquisitions, and upgrades in areas relating to MDM owned Master Data domains.
  • Assist Data Governance team members to identify, develop, and audit major system changes related to MDM as needed.
  • Assist with the facilitation and execution MDM improvements through effective project management skills.
  • Assist with various Master Data Management improvement projects as directed by the Data Governance Manager.
  • Utilizes MDM focused tools working with Microsoft SQL Server and Azure (Cloud) based environments.
  • In conjunction with the development team, determine and maintain end-to-end functional, regression and performance tests on the MDM solution.
  • Work to resolve discrepancies in data definitions that arise among multiple source data systems.
  • Create Diagrams and document data Flow/ingestion and utilization processes for data resources.
  • Understanding of Data security, regulatory and compliance requirements around Master Data Management.
  • Perform tasks both independently and collaboratively within the agile framework to ensure a robust and stable MDM solution.
  • Complete assigned compliance training and other educational programs as required.
  • Maintain compliance with AdaptHealth’s Compliance Program.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.


Competency, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Advanced working knowledge of SQL and experience working with relational databases and data warehouses both on premise and in the Cloud.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience in developing business rules and data validation processes.
  • Understanding of business processes across multiple departments
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements related to data management.
  • Strong understanding of data governance frameworks and methodologies
  • Knowledge of data quality tools and techniques
  • Experience with database management systems (SQL Server, Oracle, etc.)
  • Familiarity with ETL processes and data integration tools
  • Understanding data modeling and database design principles
  • Knowledge of data profiling and data cleansing techniques
  • Strong understanding of Database, Data Warehouse and Data Lake structures in Microsoft Azure and Snowflake environments.
  • Below are some of the key technologies that make up our environment; while we do not expect you to have a detailed understanding of each, the more of these you are familiar with the better: Snowflake, Tableau, OLAP objects, MDS, Collibra, and Python data tools.


Requirements

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Management, Business Administration, or related field 
  • 3-5 years of experience in data management, master data management, or data governance roles 
  • Experience working with BI/analytics teams and cross-functional departments.


Physical Demands and Work Environment: 

  • Must be able to bend, stoop, stretch, stand, and sit for extended periods.
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions of wrists, hands, and/or fingers due to extensive computer use.
  • Work environment may be stressful at times, as overall office activities and work levels fluctuate.
  • Subject to long periods of sitting and exposure to computer screen.
  • Ability to utilize a personal computer and other office equipment.
  • Must be able to lift 30 pounds as needed.
  • Physical and mental ability to analyze, solve problems and lead others.
  • Excellent ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.
