Digital Diagnostics is looking for an experienced and highly skilled Senior Machine Learning Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will have a solid background in Python and C++ programming, with a particular focus on the operationalization of machine learning algorithms, and play a crucial role in the software engineering and deployment of machine learning models developed by our research team into a regulated software as a medical device.

Core responsibilities include:

  •  Collaborate with our research team to understand, implement, and optimize machine learning algorithms.
  • Develop, deploy, and monitor machine learning software solutions in a regulated production environment, ensuring compliance with relevant medical device regulations and documentation standards.
  • Develop and maintain software libraries and tools for the deployment and execution of machine learning algorithms.
  • Optimize and fine-tune machine learning algorithms for performance, memory usage, and real-time inference on resource-constrained devices.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, machine learning engineers, and regulatory experts, to ensure smooth deployment, integration, and operation of machine learning models.
  • Conduct code reviews, provide technical guidance, and foster a high-performing collaborative engineering culture.
  • Stay up to date with the latest advancements in machine learning, machine learning operations, and relevant industry trends to drive innovation and maintain technical excellence.

What You’ll Bring to the Team

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, natural sciences, or a related field.
  • Strong proficiency in Python and working knowledge of C++.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a relevant machine learning engineering role.
  • Proven experience in deploying machine learning models in a production environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with machine learning frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Scikit-Learn.
  • Experience with deploying computer vision algorithms in the medical space, including processing tools like OpenCV and CUDA.
  • Familiarity with cloud computing platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, IaC, and Docker or similar container technologies.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance in medical technology (FDA, CE marking, etc.).
