Job Purpose:

We are looking for an experienced Azure Data Engineer to design, develop, and maintain end-to-end data solutions on the Azure platform. The role involves building optimized data pipelines, ensuring data security, and implementing governance frameworks while collaborating with cross-functional teams for analytics and reporting initiatives.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain ETL pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and Data Lake.
• Design and implement scalable data solutions within Azure cloud services.
• Create dashboards, reports, and visualizations with Power BI Report Server.
• Optimize data pipelines and ensure data quality, privacy, and security.
• Implement identity and access controls, encryption, and network security on Azure.
• Develop and enforce data governance policies including data cataloging, lineage, and metadata management.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and standards.
• Utilize SQL scripting and Python for data manipulation and process automation.
• Work with Azure SQL Database, Synapse Analytics, COSMOS DB, and Azure ML where needed.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong expertise in Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Data Lake.
• Experience with Power BI Report Server for building reports.
• Proficiency in writing and modifying SQL scripts and queries.
• Hands-on experience with Python for data engineering tasks.
• Familiarity with Azure SQL Database, Synapse Analytics, and COSMOS DB.
• Knowledge of data security best practices within the Azure environment.
• Experience with data governance, data cataloging, lineage, and metadata management.
• Proven ability to implement secure data communication and serverless architecture security.

Desired Skills & Experience

• 3+ years of experience creating stored procedures in SQL.
• Proficiency in .NET C# is a plus.
• Experience with Azure Machine Learning services.
• Azure certifications such as Azure Security Engineer Associate or Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
• Databricks Certified Data Engineer Associate (required).
• Databricks Machine Learning certification (preferred).
