As a Graduate Data Scientist, you will play a key role in supporting our Data Systems & Analytics team to:

• Conduct data analysis and visualisation to uncover insights.
• Support the development of data models and structures.
• Help design tools to measure outcomes for social wellbeing.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data needs and support evidence-based decisions.
• Contribute to a culture of continuous learning and innovation.

He kōrero mōu | About you

You’re a recent graduate with a degree in data science, statistics, computer science, mathematics, or a related field, and you bring:

• A foundation in data modelling, analysis, and visualisation.
• Familiarity with tools like SQL and Power BI.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Curiosity, adaptability, and a collaborative mindset.
• A commitment to public service values and a desire to contribute to positive outcomes.

You’ll also bring cultural awareness and an understanding of Mātauranga Māori and tikanga, or a willingness to learn and grow in this space.

Utu ā-tau | Salary

Band 12 : $57 248 - $67 350 (depending on skills and experience)
