As a Graduate Data Scientist, you will play a key role in supporting our Data Systems & Analytics team to:
- Conduct data analysis and visualisation to uncover insights.
- Support the development of data models and structures.
- Help design tools to measure outcomes for social wellbeing.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data needs and support evidence-based decisions.
- Contribute to a culture of continuous learning and innovation.

He kōrero mōu | About you
You’re a recent graduate with a degree in data science, statistics, computer science, mathematics, or a related field, and you bring:
- A foundation in data modelling, analysis, and visualisation.
- Familiarity with tools like SQL and Power BI.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Curiosity, adaptability, and a collaborative mindset.
- A commitment to public service values and a desire to contribute to positive outcomes.
You’ll also bring cultural awareness and an understanding of Mātauranga Māori and tikanga, or a willingness to learn and grow in this space.
Utu ā-tau | Salary
Band 12 : $57 248 - $67 350 (depending on skills and experience)
