Our Data Engineers at integrations play a key role in shaping how we extract data from the source systems, transform it into data products and make it available to data consumers. We are looking for a Data Engineer to join our Retail Integrations squad, a key part of the SAP Functional Team. Our squad focuses on building and maintaining data integrations, primarily related to SAP ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning). We handle both inbound and outbound integrations and collaborate closely with our internal and external partners. Our workplace is our Helsinki office, Ässäkeskus, where we can meet with our colleagues several times a week. When your duties allow, you can also work remotely for part of the week with flexible arrangements.

Your responsibilities 

In this role, you will build and maintain data integrations in collaboration with the team, participate in integration design and architecture, and communicate with technical stakeholders at both data source and destination systems. 

The tools we use include AWS, Kafka, SAP BTP Integration Suite and Aecorsoft Data Integrator. Our main programming languages are Kotlin and Python. The data formats we see most often are JSON, XML, Avro, and CSV. We follow agile methods in our daily work.

Is this you?

You have a passion for data and solid experience in developing modern data integrations - preferably with Kafka and REST APIs. You are curious and analytical, and you have effective communication skills in English. In addition, we believe you should have: 

• Proficiency in Kotlin and/or Python. 

• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms. 

• Familiarity with SAP integration tools is a strong plus. 

• Understanding of retail or ERP business domains in an advantage.
