Pricing Analyst

About the role

You will work as part of the Data Science team for Pricing delivering in depth analysis on the pricing strategy for the renewals book as well as finding new areas of opportunity and monitoring the current pricing performance. By analysing customer data and purchasing patterns, pricing analysts determine optimal pricing structures that maximize revenue while maintaining retention rates.

This person will have the chance to evaluate and train new machine learning models, run multiple pricing simulations, and delve into the data to analyse the impact of pricing changes across other areas such as customer satisfaction and profitability.

This role offers great opportunity to get exposure to senior members such as the director of pricing, underwriting and commercial finance to engage with their teams to deliver on the business goals.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver reporting for pricing to ensure business objectives.
• Be able to analyse, communicate and explain pricing recommendations in a clear way for a non-technical audience that will influence key stakeholders from across the business.
• Be able to implement suggested pricing changes once approved by the organisation.

Desirable skills

• Proficiency in Python.
• Strong analytical thinking.
• SQL and/or Databricks (desirable).
• Earnix or other optimisation engines (not essential, we will teach you that)
