As an Software Engineer – Mathematics and Data Science you will be responsible for delivering engineering and scientific efforts related to the design of new products and services and new designs for customer projects. Delivery of projects through the design, verification, production and, if required, commercialization stages. Usually consisting of a cross-disciplinary organization executing projects to support technology portfolio strategy. Coordinating closely with Discipline, Research, and Testing teams as needed.
As an Software Engineer - Mathematics and Data Science, you will be responsible for:
- Working with team to design, estimate, develop, document and test scalable software solutions that lead business value
- Participating in code reviews and providing guidance on how to solve issues/concerns
- Implementing new product features based on user stories tracked in TFS
- Maintaining code quality through best practices, unit testing and code quality automation
- Engaging in technical discussions; participating in technical designs and presenting technical ideas through white boarding and presentations
- Enabling and supporting continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) of applications using ADO

To be successful in this role you will:
- Be a graduate in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering Technology,
- Have good experiences with .NET Framework, or .NET Core with Visual Studio IDE
- Have experience in WPF/Noesis GUI / MVVM / PRISM / Visual Studio and TFS/Azure DevOps
- Have experience with code repositories as TFS, Git and continuous integration tools
- Be able to understand and have exposure to non-functional aspects like Performance optimization, Scalability, Reliability, Availability etc.
- Have experience in multiple-thread development
- Have experience with unit testing using MsTest and mock frameworks
- Show knowledge of concepts and methods related to analysis, design, and implementation in an object-oriented environment

The annual pay scale for this position is $63K-$117K USD if employed in New York
The annual pay scale for this position is between $63,200.00 - $117,400.00.Candidates for this role (office-based/ hybrid/ remote) must be located in or near the locations displayed above. The pay range/scale displayed above represents Baker Hughes’ good faith estimate of the minimum and maximum for this position at the time of this posting and applies to the possible locations for this position.
