  • Work with engineering teams to identify key metrics and data sources worth visualizing.
  • Develop data pipelines to connect various systems and databases to visualization platforms.
  • Create standardized visualization templates and tools that can be implemented across different engineering disciplines.
  • Build user-friendly interfaces that allow technical and non-technical stakeholders to access and understand complex data.
  • Develop visualizations targeted at different stakeholder groups (executive leadership, engineering teams, regulators, customers).
  • Support proposal development with compelling visual representations of technical concepts.
  • Maintain professional demeanor and behavior at all times in all forms of communication.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by manager.
  • Lead the execution of the core tasks and responsibilities, listed in the Job Profile Task/Responsibilities section of this document, without close supervision and some latitude for independent judgment.
  • Provide feedback and guidance to more junior team members with the execution of the core tasks and responsibilities listed in the Job Profile Task/Responsibilities section of this document.
  • Shares knowledge related to industry best practices and standards with others across the team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Human-Computer Interaction, or related engineering discipline from an ABET accredited university.
  • Typically, ten years of experience in a role developing data visualization applications and interactive dashboards for technical or engineering applications required.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with programming languages and tools used for data visualization (e.g., JavaScript/D3.js, Python with visualization libraries, R/Shiny).
  • Experience with database integration, API development, and data processing pipelines.
  • Strong understanding of user interface design principles and information visualization theory.
  • Ability to translate complex technical data into clear, insightful visualizations.
  • Experience implementing responsive design and developing web-based visualization applications.
