As a Data Scientist, you will utilize advanced analytics and machine learning techniques to analyze and interpret complex datasets. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will help optimize processes, forecast future trends, and develop data-driven strategies. You will also be responsible for building predictive models, creating data visualizations, and supporting proactive, data-informed decision-making aligned with the organization’s objectives. Your expertise in data science will play a crucial role in uncovering actionable insights and driving continuous improvement within the Customer Support & Cloud Lifecycle Management (CSUP & CLM) organization.

What you’ll do:

Position Title: SAP iXp Intern-Business Intelligence Data Scientist

Location: São Leopoldo, RS (Hybrid – 3x per week)

Expected Duration: July, 2025 – July, 2027

• Analyze and interpret cross-organizational data to uncover trends, patterns and dependencies.
• Develop and implement statistical models and machine learning algorithms (e.g., regression, clustering, classification, time-series forecasting) to predict future trends and outcomes.
• Create visualizations and generate actionable insights and recommendations to support strategic decisions and effectively communicate findings and trends to business units.
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into data-driven solutions.
• Continuously enhance data processes, analytical methods, and modelling techniques to optimize decision-making.
• Perform data preparation for projects, including identification of ideal metrics.
• Continuously experiment with and adopt new AI/ML frameworks, tools, and technologies to enhance solution effectivenes

What you bring

• Knowledge of Database, Data Management, SQL, and Artificial Intelligence
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages. Python skills as a major benefit.
• Demonstrated ability to define and implement KPIs that align with business objectives.
• Familiarity with SAP technologies and platforms.
• Analytical skills with the ability for abstract thinking.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Strong enthusiasm and interest in learning new technologies and next generation business model.

Technical Skills

• Programming & Scripting. Python skills is a major benefit
• Machine Learning and Modelling
• Data Wrangling & Exploration
• Basics in Data Engineering incl. understanding of data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes, working with big data tools (e.g., Databricks), Cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, etc.) and experience with data lakes (especially on Databricks)

The COO office for the Customer Support (CSUP) and Cloud Lifecycle Management (CLM) organization drives strategy execution, organizational performance steering and operational excellence for the CSUP & CLM business to elevate the customer experience at scale. The Business Intelligence team, as a vital part of this organization, empowers the Customer Support business function by delivering actionable insights to drive strategic decision making with an outstanding data consumption experience.
