Purpose of Role

As a Data and Academic Achievement manager, you are uniquely placed to support and collaborate with a wide spectrum of colleagues within and across schools, the Regional Team, and the Central ISP Learning and Innovation Team. You are critical to the monitoring, reporting and success of Academic Achievement in the ISP Learning and Innovation Strategy and are accountable for delivering the key goals of Academic Achievement.

Based in Mexico, you will principally manage the schools in the region that follow the IB Diploma, as such, the role requires a highly proficient Spanish and English speaker, with extensive IB Diploma programme experience and a significant amount of travel to deliver regular in-school support. There is potential in the future for the role to expand to include further schools within the region.

ISP Accounting Manager Key Responsibilities

Demonstrate and model that our students come first

Relentlessly promote and facilitate the use of ISP’s Learning First. Framework to Embed Quality in all schools. You help schools get better in academic achievement, mainly in IB Diploma results. You lead and help schools gather, analyze, and make decisions based on data and evidence of learning.

Ensure that all Senior Leaders know and are able to communicate the purpose and value of ISP’s offerings, as well as our expectations, enabling schools to fully access the various elements of the Framework to positively impact on student and adult learning.

Continuously initiate and facilitate professional dialogue that focuses school leaders on improving student learning.

Consistently use, reference, and reinforce ISP’s Shared Ideas and language for learning, such that school leaders and Regional colleagues are able to confidently do the same.

Demonstrate A Focus on Learners and Learning by actively looking for and identifying examples of excellent practice and Amazing Learning in the region. You then communicate these and other Evidence of Learning effectively and efficiently to colleagues both in schools and the Regional and Central teams, such that they drive improvements in learning, and equip colleagues to effectively promote the learning benefits of the school and ISP in the wider community.

Key Activities in Oversight and Supervision of IBDP Coordinators

  • Ensure IBDP Compliance and Accreditation Standards
  • Monitor alignment with IB standards and practices across regional schools.
  • Support schools in preparation for IB evaluation visits and audits.
  • Provide guidance on policy implementation, programme documentation, and adherence to assessment protocols.

Drive Academic Achievement in IBDP

  • Lead data analysis and evidence-based strategies to improve IB Diploma Programme results.
  • Identify patterns and gaps in student achievement and support action planning.
  • Monitor cohort progress, subject performance, and predicted vs. actual outcomes.

Coordinate IBDP Coordinator Network and Capacity Building

  • Oversee a regional network of IBDP coordinators for collaboration and professional dialogue.
  • Facilitate regular IBDP-specific learning visits, curriculum reviews, and moderation exercises.
  • Deliver targeted professional development aligned to IB philosophy and ISP’s Learning.First Framework.

Provide Strategic Curriculum and Staffing Support

  • Guide schools in effective timetabling, subject offerings, and staff deployment to ensure IB course viability.
  • Support leaders in aligning staffing with IB learner profile and teaching time standards.
  • Review FTE data and leadership-to-teaching ratios to ensure optimal academic delivery.

Promote Evidence of Learning and Best Practice Sharing

  • Document and disseminate examples of excellent teaching and learning in IBDP classrooms.
  • Encourage use of student work, assessment data, and learner reflections to guide teacher development.
  • Promote consistency in academic expectations, learner engagement, and internal assessment standards.

Support School Improvement and Planning

  • Guide IBDP coordinators and SLTs in writing and monitoring IBDP-focused improvement plans.
  • Embed IBDP goals into the wider school development framework.
  • Evaluate the impact of strategic interventions through review cycles and feedback loops.

Represent the Region in Global ISP Learning Initiatives

  • Liaise with ISP Central Learning Team on IBDP-related updates, innovations, and global benchmarking
  • Contribute regional IBDP insights to ISP-wide academic achievement strategy.

Academic Achievement Oversight and Strategic Support

  • Oversees the collection, validation, and analysis of staffing data; ensures accuracy in FTE allocation, teaching time, and leadership ratios; supports school leaders in interpreting trends to inform strategic staffing decisions aligned with ISP benchmarks
  • Coordinates and monitors professional learning initiatives linked to academic achievement; ensures training is data-informed, aligned to school improvement goals, and targeted to raise teaching quality and student outcomes
  • Conducts learning visits to gather evidence of learning in real time and inform ongoing academic achievement initiatives.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience

  • Qualified Bilingual teacher or experience of +5 in schools
  • Based in Mexico
  • Desired: Master’s degree in education
  • Experience in curriculum integration of National Curricula plus international curriculum (IBDP and Cambridge)
  • Data management to improve evidence of learning and results.
  • Experience in learning improvement-academic results and improvement plans.
  • Leadership experience within a varied context and supporting change.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
