Job description
Huge is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join the Data Science and Analytics team in Colombia. As a Senior Data Engineer, build and implement tagging specifications for web and app analytics across a variety of client projects, you will also work with internal and external stakeholders serving as the go-to expert on analytics implementation and marketing measurement.
What we’d like to see
- 5+ years of relevant experience in a technical marketing or analytics engineering role, with a strong focus on digital analytics and data collection technologies.
- Deep expertise in Amplitude, GA4, Google Tag Manager, and Looker Studio (including event design, reporting, and governance).
- Deep experience with Adobe Platforms such as Launch, CJA and Adobe Analytics
- Proven experience with ecommerce tagging (e.g., enhanced ecommerce, purchase funnel tracking) and digital marketing pixel implementation (GA4, Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn, etc.).
- Familiarity with Amplitude's API and reporting UI.
- Experience with A/B testing tools such as Amplitude, Google Optimize, Optimizely, or similar.
- Background in analytics platform migrations (e.g., UA to GA4, GA4 to Amplitude, etc.).
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Single Page Application behavior.
What you’ll be doing
- Building and implementing comprehensive tagging specifications for web and app analytics across a variety of client projects.
- Leading client facing discussions to discuss tagging strategy and reporting requirements that align with the measurement plan
- Leading Amplitude tagging implementations, including event and property configuration, cross-domain tracking, and coordinated tagging plans across platforms.
- Deploying and QAing marketing pixels including Meta (Facebook), TikTok, LinkedIn, and other advertising platforms to support conversion tracking and media optimization.
- Partnering with tech and measurement teams to define scalable data collection strategies, particularly for ecommerce flows and user journey tracking.
- Utilizing tag management solutions (primarily Google Tag Manager) to implement and manage analytics and marketing tags.
- QAing all analytics and pixel deployments, validating data accuracy in reporting tools like Amplitude, GA4, and Looker Studio
- Taking ownership of analytics deployments, including documentation, versioning, and managing multiple concurrent workstreams.
- Supporting A/B and multivariate testing setup and instrumentation.
- Creating and maintaining standard implementation documentation and best practices for tools such as GA4, Amplitude, and ecommerce tagging frameworks.
- Meeting regularly with internal and external stakeholders for requirements gathering and solution validation, serving as the go-to expert on analytics implementation and marketing measurement.
- Staying current on industry news and trends regarding digital analytics, privacy regulations, and evolving tracking technologies.
