Reporting to the Corporate Controller, the Finance Manager will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing company’s financial systems through Netsuite. This role involves developing, implementing, and analyzing financial systems and providing long-term strategy for the company’s financial systems. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth SaaS environment, has strong business acumen and is eager to build compliant, scalable accounting processes.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Oversee and optimize the financial systems and processes within Netsuite. Identify and areas for improvement in financial processes within Netsuite, such as month-end close, budgeting, and financial reporting, and implement solutions to streamline these processes.

• Prepare, analyze and present financial statements, actuals to budgets, and variance reports for internal and external stakeholders.

• Gain an understanding from the business changes and drivers that contribute to month-over-month, and quarter-over-quarter variances

• Develop, document, and implement business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls

• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, funding agreements, transfer pricing, and organizational policies.

• Coordinate annual financial audits and address findings or recommendations.

• Supervise and mentor finance staff, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

• Support our team with technical accounting expertise during ad-hoc projects.

• Liaise cross-functionally with other members of the Finance team to prepare for external audits and internal reporting.

• Lead or contribute to special projects including procurement, banking, reporting automation, technology upgrades and process improvements.

What You’ll Bring to the Team

• University or College Degree (or equivalent) in Business, preferably in Accounting or Finance

• CPA designation

• Experience with international financial operations and knowledge of IFRS accounting standards

• Experience and understanding of general ERP requirements

• Experience using Netsuite, Google Suite, Microsoft Office Products

• Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience preferably within ERP / financial systems

• Excellent communication skills as you will be a partner to the business leaders

• Strong analytical skills and data-driven mindset

• Ability to stay organized, detail oriented and meticulous to deliver in a fast-paced environment

Where You’ll Work 📍

• Loopio is a remote-first workplace because we recognize the advantages of working flexibly. We are HQ’d in Canada, with established hub regions around the world where we hire from.

• Our employees (or Loopers, as we call ourselves!) live and work in 🇨🇦 Canada (British Columbia and Ontario), 🇬🇧 London, and 🇮🇳 India (specifically in Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Bengaluru).

• The majority of our team is based in ON and BC, which means these employees live and work remotely within a 300km radius of Toronto (within Ontario) and Vancouver (Within BC). 

• We offer flexible co-working locations available to Loopers in ON and BC. Those based in ON have the option of working out of our convenient co-working space located in the heart of Downtown Toronto and a 12-minute walk from Union Station. BC Loopers have the option to work centrally in Vancouver. It is whatever works best for you!

• You’ll collaborate with your teams virtually across the UK, India, and North America (we’re just a Zoom call and Slack message away!) with core sync hours and focus time for headsdown work 🙇🏾 during the workday
