What you’ll do:

We are currently seeking an Associate Systems Engineer (SE) to join our growing JMP team in APAC. Based in Singapore, this role supports territorial Systems Engineers across multiple countries by providing technical pre-sales assistance, sharing best practices, and helping scale JMP solution expertise across the region. As part of a dynamic and collaborative team, you will build technical credibility, gain cross-industry exposure, and develop into a regional subject matter expert. This is a great opportunity for early-career professionals (2–5 years’ experience) looking to expand their impact across a wider regional scope.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with territorial Systems Engineers and Account Executives to support cross-region JMP pre-sales activities.
  • Assist in technical discovery, requirements gathering, and solution design for opportunities across multiple territories.
  • Design and develop JMP Add-Ins using JMP Scripting Language (JSL) in combination with Python or R, as needed to support demos, POCs, or customer-specific use cases.
  • Help prepare and conduct proof-of-concepts (POCs) and workshops aligned to customer objectives.
  • Deliver standard and customized product demonstrations and presentations to communicate JMP’s value for solving statistical and manufacturing analytics challenges.
  • Provide technical support to territorial SEs during high-priority or resource-constrained opportunities.
  • Develops familiarity with company sales initiatives, product positioning, pricing, proposals, and models.
  • Participates in product, solution and/or technical training to acquire and maintain a detailed level of product knowledge of core components of JMP offerings.
  • Participate in internal enablement activities to help share knowledge, assets, and reusable tools across the SE team.
  • Stay current with JMP’s product updates, market trends, and competitor technologies.
  • Represent JMP at regional events, webinars, and customer workshops as needed.
  • Performs other duties, as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Willingness to learn about an industry, market segments, or a specific area of industry.
  • Strong foundation in statistical analysis, quality improvement methodologies, or process development within manufacturing, life sciences, or related technical domains.
  • Experience with Design of Experiments (DOE) and process optimization tools is highly desirable.
  • Hands-on experience with JMP Scripting Language (JSL) and the ability to integrate JMP with Python or R to develop custom solutions or Add-Ins.
  • Exposure to analytics and statistical tools such as JMP, SAS, R, Python, Minitab, or equivalent.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present technical content to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Interest in working across multiple markets and cultures in a regional capacity.
  • Aptitude for learning new technologies and solving business problems with analytics.
  • Ability to work and learn independently and as part of a team.
  • Travel as business requirements dictate.

Education:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, or another quantitative field. A Ph.D. in a quantitative discipline or additional coursework or certification in analytics or statistical software is a plus.

 

Preferred Experience:

  • 2–5 years of experience in a technical, analytical, or pre-sales engineering role (e.g., analytics consulting, data analysis, process improvement, process engineering or systems engineering).
  • Experience supporting or working with regional teams or customers from multiple geographies is a plus.
  • Exposure to manufacturing, healthcare, semiconductor, or other technical industries is advantageous but not required.
