We are seeking a passionate, highly motivated, and skilled individual to join our team as a Business Intelligence & Analytics Manager. As the BI & Analytics Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day execution of business intelligence (BI) and analytics delivery, serving as the Business and Technical Data Steward for the Community Health Center

Key Responsibilities include:
Collaborating with programs within the Health Center/ICS Division to understand their unique business needs and contribute to the development of data-driven strategies.
Leading and Mentoring a team of dynamic and high functioning BI staff and project teams to ensure the creation and support of sustainable, robust, and quality reporting and analytical solutions.
Facilitate data governance and associated processes for ICS data quality, data definitions, business rules maintenance and inform creation of best practices in collaboration with other Health Department and Central IT teams
Serving as the liaison between technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and understanding of data requirements and deliverables.
Driving innovation and continuous improvement in BI and analytics processes and methodologies.
Design, promote best practices, industry standards, and provide insight on BI trends and technologies
Staying abreast of industry trends and best practices in healthcare analytics to inform strategic decision-making.

Minimum Qualifications/Transferable Skills*:
Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Healthcare Management, or related field. In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, we will consider other educational or relevant experience
Minimum of 3 years of experience in analytics or related fields, with a demonstrated track record of success in managing BI projects and teams.
Preferred Qualifications/Transferable Skills*: You do not need to have the following preferred qualifications/ transferable skills to qualify. However, keep in mind we may consider some or all of the following when identifying the most qualified candidates. Please clearly explain on your application how you meet any of the following preferred qualifications/transferable skills.
Demonstrated, progressive experience in healthcare (Such as Payor Claims, Epic, Primary Care, Pharmacy, Dental,, etc.), including managing healthcare data projects end-to-end
Strong understanding of Epic data structures (Clarity, Caboodle) and Cogito reporting Tool set.
Superior customer service skills and a transformational leadership philosophy.
Experience in a Primary Care, Hospital, Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) or like environment.
Proficiency with BI tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, as well as T-SQL, Python, or other programming languages.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and levels of the organization.

Everyday, Multnomah County staff work together to serve as a safety net for our communities. During a disaster, this safety net becomes even more critical. All County employees have a role in serving the public during inclement weather, natural disaster, or other types of community emergency response. During these emergency responses, while typically there begins with a call for volunteers, county employees may ultimately be reassigned from their current position to a role in the emergency response in order to support the critical needs presented by our communities. Type of Position: This position is not eligible for overtime.

Location: Gladys McCoy Building - 619 NW 6th Ave Portland OR 97209. This position is eligible for hybrid telework, however, the incumbent must reside in Oregon or Washington.
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm.
Note: All employees must reside in Oregon or Washington; the county cannot support ongoing telework from other locations. We are not able to sponsor H-B1 visas, F1 or STEM OPT.
