Data Scientist | ZR 25323 JOB

This is a remote position.

Schedule: 20 hours / week (Edmonton, AB Time - flexible)

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect, clean, and analyze large and complex datasets from various sources.
  
• Develop predictive models and machine learning algorithms to support business decisions.
  
• Create dashboards and visualizations to communicate findings to stakeholders.
  
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., product, marketing, engineering) to implement data-driven solutions.
  
• Conduct A/B testing and experimentation to measure the impact of product and business changes.
  
• Interpret and present data findings in a clear and concise manner to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  
• Stay up to date with the latest trends and technologies in data science and analytics.
  

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  
• Proven experience as a Data Scientist or in a similar analytical role.
  
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL.
  
• Strong knowledge of statistical analysis, machine learning, and data mining techniques.
  
• Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Matplotlib/Seaborn.
  
• Familiarity with big data platforms (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) is a plus.
  
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Microsoft SQL database experience
  
• Bachelors degree in data science or related experience.
  
• Experience deploying models into production environments.
