Business Intelligence Engineer

Key Accountabilities

• ETL Fundamentals: Demonstrate a strong understanding of ETL concepts, data warehousing, data modelling, & data integration strategies. Expertise in Data Engineering, data integration tools to design, develop, and deploy ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes.
• Programming Skills: Proficient in SQL, Python, scripting languages, and other relevant technologies to handle complex integration scenarios.
• Business Intelligence: BI professional skilled in designing, developing, and implementing data analytics solutions using Qlik's suite of tools, including Qlik Sense, QlikView, and Qlik Cloud.
• Data Quality: Ensure data quality, consistency, and accuracy across integrated systems by implementing data governance practices.
• Data Platform Expertise: Talend, Qlik, Vertica, Kafka, Spark, S3/MinIO/VAST, Airflow, Datahub, AWS Services.
• Monitoring and Maintenance: Monitor data integration jobs, troubleshoot issues, and perform routine maintenance tasks.
• Documentation: Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of integration processes, configurations, and best practices. 

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics)

Experience

• Proven experience (8+ years) in leading data and analytics functions, preferably in a big data environment.
• Strong knowledge and expertise in big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, NoSQL databases) and cloud-based data platforms.
• Proficient in advanced analytics techniques, such as predictive modeling, machine learning, and data visualization.
• Familiarity with data governance frameworks and data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams.
• Strong business acumen and the ability to translate business requirements into data-driven solutions.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

• Fluent in English, Arabic is a plus.
