The LA Clippers are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Pricing Analyst to join our Business Insights & Analytics team. This role is critical in driving ticket pricing strategy and revenue optimization across all Clippers games — including full season, half season, group, and single-game offerings — while also supporting pricing efforts across merchandise, food & beverage, and other ancillary revenue streams.
The Pricing Analyst will be responsible for developing pricing models, analyzing market trends and purchase behavior, and delivering actionable recommendations that drive revenue and align with fan experience goals. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the business performance of one of the NBA’s most innovative franchises while working at the cutting edge of sports analytics and dynamic pricing.
This is a full-time role based in Inglewood, CA and is eligible for our competitive benefit offering including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan with company contribution, Well-Being Allowance, and more. Due to the nature of the sports and live event industry, the candidate must be available to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays, particularly around Clippers home games and other high-profile events.
What You Will Do
- Ticket Pricing & Modeling
- Build and maintain detailed pricing models for full season, partial plans, group, and single-game tickets.
- Analyze historical sales data, market demand, fan behavior, and competitive benchmarks to inform pricing recommendations.
- Forecast demand and develop inventory-based pricing strategies that maximize revenue while balancing accessibility.
- Monitor real-time market conditions and recommend pricing adjustments to optimize sell-through and revenue
- Ancillary Product Pricing
- Support pricing strategy across non-ticket revenue streams, including retail merchandise, concessions, and bundled fan experiences.
- Support pricing strategy across premium and suites
- Evaluate price sensitivity and purchasing trends to drive pricing decisions for fan-centric products and services.
- Data Analysis & Strategic Insight
- Conduct scenario modeling to evaluate potential revenue outcomes of pricing changes.
- Develop dashboards and automated reports to monitor pricing performance, sell-through, and demand curves.
- Deliver insights and recommendations to stakeholders in ticketing, finance, marketing, and executive leadership.
- Collaboration & Innovation
- Partner with Data Engineering and BI teams to ensure data availability and accuracy in pricing systems and dashboards.
- Stay current on trends in the sports industry, dynamic pricing, and customer behavior analytics to evolve pricing practices.
Your Background, Skills, and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field.
- 5-7 years of experience in pricing, forecasting, or revenue optimization, ideally in sports, entertainment, hospitality, or retail.
- Proficiency in Excel required; experience with SQL and statistical tools such as Python or R is a strong plus.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
- Excellent analytical, modeling, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Experience with pricing in primary and secondary ticket markets is a plus
- Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex analyses in a clear, concise manner.
